Farenheit 9/11 put in perspective

Its a frickin film! You know...just like Armogeddon, The Day After Tomorrow, and Bowling For Columbine? No need to crap a farking brick over it. Its amazing how some people can get so worked up over another person's opinion. Its even more amazing that some people take HOLLYWOOD CREATIONS as truths! Yeah, I saw it. I laughed because I know that the film is skewed far left but he does make very good points. After I got out of the theater, two guys got into a brawl over it in the parking lot....over...a...frickin...MOVIE. And you wonder why some people have less and less faith in the American people? We're acting like morons over the most trivial stuff. No need to yell at other people to get out of the country, no need to proclaim the word of Michael Moore as truth. If you're so deadset on what you believe, then you can watch the film as entertainment and acknowledge its existence, right? Why do you get so offended by it? It always amuses me how people generally have the opinion of "Yeah I believe in freedom of speech as long as it conforms with what I believe in." In the words of my mother, "GROW UP!"

FYI, it's not being sold as "another person's opinion". It's being sold as a documentary. That is what people like myself are "so worked up" about. Many, many, many people are leaving the theatre thinking someone just "uncovered the truth". That is the problem.
That statement gives very little credit to people's level of intelligence or curiosity. Personally, I look at everything with a level of skepticism and take nothing at face value without additional collaboration.
The controversy over this film has created a wealth of opportunity to discuss issues, positions, facts ect. IMO that is not bad.
What would be bad is if society tried to suppress things that made us uncomfortable or that we didn't agree with.
/we, the sheeple.
Nobody has stated moore was unbiased!
>>>Anyone with half a brain would know that he is greatly biased, controversial, and sometimes inaccurate.<<
Yes, biased, most journalists, filmakers, documentarians, politicians are, and absolutely controversial, just like limbaugh and coulter is- SO!!!
sometimes inaccurate, well I am sure he is, just like fox news and others are at times, but could you point out the inaccuracy please?
>>>Who in their right mind would take his documentaries as plain truth?<<
well I guess the same people who take fox news as plain truth, there are always going to be people on both sides who are will believe whatever comes out of the mouth of those they want to believe.
>>>perhaps there really isn't much hope for finding any intelligence in America anymore<<,
Are you claiming that americans are stupid, or just certain americans who don't agree with your political viewpoint? I would think there are plenty of people on both sides we could find wanting in the brain department.
Sorry haven't done my research to confirm the points that I believe that may be inaccurate yet so I'm not going to give you a definite answer. On a tangent---don't get me started on Fox News. The people there laughed when they showed the video of that black man being beat up a few days ago:(
I'm claiming those people who take everything verbatim are stupid and ignorant. As for my political viewpoint, I haven't even stated that yet;)
then how can you claim he is inaccurate, if you can't state what you believe is inaccurate?
>>>I'm claiming those people who take everything verbatim are stupid and ignorant.<<
Well that is a given, but just because people choose to see moore's film does not imply they are all the type who take everything as verbatum, just as all people who watch or listen to limbaugh don't.
>>> As for my political viewpoint, I haven't even stated that yet;)<<<
Your political viewpoint doesn't need to be stated. I was just wondering if you felt comfortable labelling those whose vewipoints didn't match yours as being stupid sheep.
FYI, it's not being sold as "another person's opinion". It's being sold as a documentary. That is what people like myself are "so worked up" about. Many, many, many people are leaving the theatre thinking someone just "uncovered the truth". That is the problem.
Where did we ever get this idea that

people who don't like moore claim that those who see it >>>>I'm sorry but if people are so dumb to think that Michael Moore, after publicly proclaiming "Shame on you Mr. Bush", is going to be impartial, then perhaps there really isn't much hope for finding any intelligence in America anymore"
and that is touted or supported as a being a acceptable stereoytped view against democrats BUT
when moore says " Our stupidity is embarrassing." (and he is including himself as an american) it isn't acceptable viewpoint.
