They have no difference in big issues.

Inside group now is smiling. They got all cadidates, both in Rep. and Demo camp, all their puppets. Go play the election, you people, enjoy "democracy". The end is already in the hand of inside group.

Three musketeers (originally posted in February this year)

There were two big events in House in Bush presidency. One was passing through of the Bill of Patriot Act and other one is the Bill of Authorizing the use of armed force against Iraq. These two bills seriously eroding the civil rights of US citizens and their interest but largely benefit the inside group. They even activated anthrax attack(for Patriot Act) and DC sniper shooting (for the bill to authorize Iraq war power) to push through the two bills. After the bills passed successfully, the media published pictures to show that it was supported by two parties. The picture showed Bush was in the center, with Lieberman, Edwards, Gephardt came beside him. Like three musketeers stood with the king. Kerry, though being gang of four, even not qualified to be in the picture. They are the hard core of inside group followers.

Edwards has another character. He works covertly like Wesley Clark and Arnold Schwarzinneger. When Clark suddenly joined campaign, he has a clean vote history because he has never been a politician. Arnold at first denied he would be candidate in California recall, only at last minute announced involvement. Same tactic like Clark. Arnold also ducked all candidates debate. Edwards worked in same way. Try not to be in focus, avoid conflict. At this point, he and Clark and Arnold could be viewed as three musketeers from Feds.

Howard Dean was the target of insider group because his anti-war stand. They manipulated election, media and poll to pull Dean down. The resiganation of Dean's campaign manager gave him a last hit. When they created a situation that Dean was hopeless, why they are so eager want Dean announceing his out? It might be paving way for Edwards.

When they forced Dean to pull out, Kerry and Edwards became major competetors. They could make another surprise in Super Tuesday's primary. (Though this time they didn't. Otherwise it would be too evident the election was manipulated.)

Tracey, just in case your serious about wanting an answer, I will give it a try.

There has been at least one thread on this board that addressed how some Senators felt that they were mislead, just like the rest of the US. May I remind you how quickly this bill got passed. Some thought that GWB was going to take the case to the UN, they didn't realize they approved an Iraqi invasion. The fact that so many were confused and the speed with GWB raced to war tells me that not enough deliberation went into passing the bill.

Mainly, I don't think you have an equal comparison between the man who pushed for the war, and two senators who happened to vote for it. If they hadn't voted for the bill, it wouldn't have made a difference. If Bush hadn't pushed for the war, it would have made a difference.

I had to respond to your "summary" because I am a liberal, vote liberal and this post is inaccurate.

"You're against capital punishment, but for abortion on demand."

I am for capital punishment and also pro-choice. Which is more than I can say for conservatives that believe abortion is murder but capital punishment isn't. They both are, but the choice for a woman to have an abortion or not is not mine or yours to make. It's the woman in the situation.

"You believe that guns in the hands of innocent, law-abiding citizens are more of a threat than nuclear weapons in the hands of the Red Chinese."

I believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens are just fine, but what is the problem with people having to wait before buying one? Plus, you don't need a machine gun to go hunt deer. Those kinds of guns are the ones we need to get rid of.

"You believe that the same public school teacher that couldn't teach your child to read is qualified to teach your child about sex."

Who says the public school teacher can't teach your child to read? I was taught in pubic schools and I can read just fine. The option for sex education should be taught in schools. Maybe you do or would talk to your children about the importance of safe sex, but not every parent does or will. This also pertains to your spread of AIDS comment. The spread of AIDS has a big part to do with lack of education on the subject. That should be something addressed in sex education in classrooms. My school did not teach anything about sexual education, didn't provide condoms in the classroom and basically avoided the subject all together. I had sex when I was 15 and was one of the last in my class to do so. Maybe if we had some education on the subject, some would not have chose to do so so early.

"You believe gender roles are artificial but being gay is natural."

Are you gay? If not, then you really have no idea what it feels like. Therefore, you shouldn't have an opinion on it.

I will stop here because I could go through the whole list, but I think you get my point. Do NOT categorize everyone in a small shell. I could bring up the same format for "conservatives" that I have seen but that would be generalizing a group of people and we are all different, have our own feelings on issues and should respect the feelings of others that might differ from our own. Never assume you could walk in someone else's shoes unless you have.
