KERRY, THE COMMUNIST PARTY’S CHOICE, MUST REPUDIATE ENDORSEMENT, SAYS AMERIPAC
WASHINGTON, DC—Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, the likely Democratic presidential nominee this year, should reject the endorsement he has received from the Communist Party USA, the president of the American Political Action Committee (AMERIPAC) said today.
AMERIPAC President Alan Gottlieb said Americans, and especially veterans, “should be horrified that Sen. Kerry has been endorsed by the Communist Party.â€
“John Kerry is widely known as the most liberal member of the Senate,†Gottlieb noted, “and even in her endorsement message, Communist PAC Chairman Joelle Fishman fawns that Kerry represents a ‘progressive coalition.’ Perhaps Kerry’s coalition might also like the support of the French Communists, the Taliban, Saddam Hussein’s Baath Party and other enemies of American values.
“The Communist Party USA has organized a ‘Push Bush Out the Door in 2004’ effort,†Gottlieb added. “They have also heaped praise on Democratic congressional candidate Cynthia McKinney of Georgia, Illinois Democratic Senate candidate Barack Obama, and South Carolina Democrat Inez Tenenbaum, also running for the U.S. Senate. If that’s the kind of political company Kerry wants to keep, he ought to be in a padded room, not the Oval Office.
“Kerry has made a big deal out of his service in Vietnam, fighting communists,†Gottlieb stated. “His campaign has repeatedly mentioned the Purple Hearts he received for combat wounds. Maybe those wounds were as superficial as Kerry’s devotion to American values seems to be, because so long as he allows that Communist Party endorsement to stand, he unintentionally telling every American voter just what he thinks about defending our Republic.
“We call on John Kerry to repudiate the Communist Party USA, and walk away from its endorsement,†Gottlieb concluded. “Otherwise, Americans will know that John Kerry’s vision of America has a hammer and sickle waving somewhere over the landscape.â€

IMHO, it (being criticism of political wives) has less to do with party lines and more to do with personality and style. The ones who just portray a more "matronly" image, escape the scathing criticism. Nancy Reagan and Hillary Clinton took the wrath, Babara and Laura Bush did not. But then again, the only thing I do or will ever remeber about Babs or Laura is a tv clip of them reading to school children, during their respective turns as First Lady. Seems like the ones who open their mouths largly open the door for criticism. I'm just going on personal observation here. I could not speak for what kind of image Rosalyn Carter portrayed (I was but a babe when her husband was in office) or other, earlier first ladies portrayed. From where I sit, first ladies who don't make waves are liked by everyone, the ones who speak their mind are hated, at least, by some people.
THAT correlation is vile to me as well. :(
I would agree with you had there been the same criticism and acts attributed to her while married to a republican senator for 25 years. However this is going beyong criticism, theresa has been accused of many things in an effort to discredit her personally and some of the lies are specific to issues that concern americans (terrorism and abortion)
I don't believe anybody called nancy reagan a murderer, or saw lies being spread about her, or demanded investigations, she was critisized yes, but not attacked anywhere on the same level as hilary or theresa kerry.
and no I would not like to see laura bush ever have to face the kind of vile attacks that theresa kerry is facing.

And I agree with her, the tenor of this campaign is ugly not only has she become the target of fraulent claims, her husband has been shown in doctored photographs (sampley's work) and accused of acts ((sampley again) that were quickly proven to be hoaxes. However having been proven to be hoaxes hasn't stopped certain outlets from continuing to spread the lies, and people continue to spout them as fact.
I bet you've received some of the emails about THK that I have. I can't believe the lies
I guess I am also, althoug sometimes the high road doesn't get you to the White House. What else can GWB do attack? He is a pony with one act (he was president on 9/11); would you run on his record?
