Do you or someone you love smoke? If you (or they) have thought about quitting smoking but just need that extra bit of commitment and support, take heart! The help needed to kick butt and become smoke-free is here! Be sure to pass the information along to anyone you know who is fighting the battle with nicotine addiction!

It’s no secret that quitting smoking is one of the toughest things you’ll ever do. If you need a boost in your quitting efforts, why not ask an expert? Along with NBC Chief Medical Officer Nancy Snyderman, M.D. and her new website BeWell.com, iVillage is bringing together top experts to offer insight and answer your questions in the Kick Butt community. Our lineup includes a mind-body expert, a pediatrician, a psychiatrist, an exercise physiologist, a health promotion specialist, and a breast cancer surgeon who are all speaking out about the effects of smoking on your every day and long-term health – and that of your family.

Ask a question on the Kick Butt: Quit Smoking Today message board and these experts will answer by January 30th. And be sure to tune in to the Today show on January 29 and January 30 to see Dr. Nancy Snyderman’s segments on how to Kick Butt!

What I should have added was that prior to quitting 12 yrs ago, I had quit 4 times (once for as long as 2 yrs!) & started smoking again.
