Don't guns have distinctive serial #'s engraved on each weapon? Can't they be traced just as one can back-track ownership of used automobiles or the title of a home being purchased?


(I'm not a gun owner therefore I know next to nothing about them.)

Motion lights to ward animals off your property?? We have rabbits setting ours off all the time. And deer, and we live in the suburbs, in a development. Motion lights don't stop them, LOL.

Yes, they all come with serial numbers allowing the ATF to determine the dealer and original purchaser.
