Pres. Obama's speech at Georgetown. Anyone watch this speech? Thoughts?
I'd recorded it Tues. & watch it yesterday. Explained with ease in laymens terms how the economic plan will work, the goals of the plan & what would happen if these steps weren't taken. Most informative IMO.

I had better hopes for his economic plan. What I'm seeing and hearing doesn't quite make me feel all that much better.
First of all there was entirely too much money spent bailing out the banking industry. And it's still being given to them, and they can't account for a single penny of it. They have a strangle hold on it and I wouldn't be afraid to bet that a huge portion of it has been offshored.
I don't see how this economic plan is helping the job market. We have a 9.25% unemployment rate here in Georgia. Everyone knows at least 1 person who is without a job. I have a neighbor who has been without work for 6 months. A co-worker's new husband was just laid off from IBM.
Obama talks about money for roads and that's all we hear about here.
