I don't have any 'proof' but I've always believed that the majority of women are much more open about sexuality than men.

The other day I saw a post about male lesbians.

I guess if we can have males as lesbians, then an increase in lesbianism is understandable as it is inclusive of everyone. :)

The Oprah article is the more complete. The CNN one just has excerpts from the former.

Growing-up I was accustomed to being more touchy with GFs not in a sexual way but walking arm in arm. I found a difference here in the US.

When I was in school 11-12 yrs. old I had crushes on seniors but it was like heroine worship. No romantic fantasies.

I did have one sexual experiment with a girl. It was just a one off. We were about 14. At the time I'd never been beyond kissing with a male. We were both naive.

I'm comfortable around people with different sexual preferences. I've worked with lesbians & we've been friends. I've always had gay men friends.

At this time in my life I doubt I'd ever have a sexual relationship with another female. Maybe in my next life. ;)

I'm very open minded about others' relationships.

"male lesbians'

You jest? Then some men will do anything to get their needs met.

I don't buy this. I think a lot of women who end up seriously dating another woman were probably lesbians to begin with but afraid to admit it to themselves. I know quite a few gay men who went through that, too.

Oh, I believe that there are a fair number of women who fall in the 'mid-range' - technically, I guess you'd call them bisexual.
