Just saw this on cnn! Seems so surreal that MJ was found not breathing? I know the guy had his problems (whether you love or hate him is another story too) but it's hard to think of him supposedly on death's door. Anyone else hearing this news?

I read the morning that he wanted his kids to stay with their Nanny. Not sure if he put this in writing... She had been with him for over 20 years and once there was rumors that they might marry. Also heard that Michael's mother might want them.

"There needs to be a system in place whereby physicians can check any and ALL medications a patient has been prescribed. This would stop the "doctor shopping" that goes on with people who abuse prescription drugs."

There is already a system of this nature in place in my state.

However it would mostly catch the postreplys of the state. A Michael Jackson? Uncertain.

There is supposed to be a system like this among pharmacies in my state. However, with my ex H, it wasn't until I reported him for filling my perscriptions (which I found out about when I tried to get a refill of a pain med, post surgically, and they couldn't because I had "already requested a refill", and I hadn't). The "system" didn't seem to catch up with itself until I alerted them. I live in a small, rural community, but he had gone to multiple Drs., via ER, private Drs.,

I think history will remember him as being as musically important as Elvis Presley. He was obviously a deeply troubled guy - I personally don't believe the child abuse allegations but anyone who would do that on purpose to their own face has issues.

I'd like to think that he's at peace, wherever he is.

Boy I am telling you. I can't believe this. Everyone is going to remember years to come where they were when Michael Jackson died. I was watching the nightly news in my country. I saw on TV a question asking, Did Michael Jackson's personal problems overshadow his legacy? Now when I saw this question, I was a bit puzzled. When questions are asked at news time and a poll is taken with whatever percentage of who says no and who says yes, it is usually a question that relates to an individual or topic in our country.

i was wondering what does Michael Jackson has to do with us? Then i said, "wait, why did they say the word,"did". i wonder if anything happened to him. then when the news started, that was the lead story. i was stunned. i couldn't believe it. I hadn't heard about him in a long time but since this year or maybe last year, I heard about the concerts he was planning. i am really really shocked.

I heard a Plastic Surgeon on TV this morning. He was talking about when MJ nose collapsed, he couldn't breath through it. It made singing very difficult.

I'm from a different generation. Elvis Presley, the Beatles, The Rolling Stones. My kids liked MJ. I just never cared for him. I never understood why he was so obsessed with changing his looks. He was a cute kid.

Sadly, there were too many who were 'riding his coat tails' & they put their interests before his.

I've read that sentiment a couple of times in this thread... and I just want to say that it's hard to control or save
