Just saw this on cnn! Seems so surreal that MJ was found not breathing? I know the guy had his problems (whether you love or hate him is another story too) but it's hard to think of him supposedly on death's door. Anyone else hearing this news?

I agree! I really hope MJ's parents do not get custody of those kids....they screwed up their own children...from what I hear about the father...they should only get supervised visits. Where is the bio mom?

Since MJ owed so much money, his parents are dilusional to think they are going to get his estate.

~Where is the bio mom?~

The bio mom of the first two (Deborah Rowe) has said in the past that she didn't want them in her life and that she doesn't think she'd be a good mother.

Just to add this:

Phillips said if her parental rights remain intact, she's presumed to be first in line to receive custody of her two children. "That could still be contested," she added.

Rowe would have to undergo an evaluation by the court to determine if she's the best person to care for Jackson's children. So, too, would anyone else who applies to become the children's guardian — some of whom may have Jackson's blessing.

"If he did indicate a preference, that will be given great weight, but that will not be determinative," said Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred. "Children are not property, they cannot be willed to another person."

Allred agreed that Rowe has better legal standing than others who apply for custody of Jackson's eldest children. "She's definitely going to have an advantage."

But judges in California often take into account who is left in the children's lives with a strong bond, said Charlotte Goldberg, a family law professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.

"It's really a balance between continuity and stability and a biological relationship," Goldberg said.

A judge deciding the matter may even seek input in chambers from Jackson's children about who they feel comfortable with, she said.

WOW! I really hope the children will be okay after this......I have a feeling it will end up in a big court battle like Anna Nicole's baby.....

This is turning into another ANS story. It was just reported that Joe Jackson said MJ will not have a funeral until the autopsy report comes in. It has been said it will take 4-6 weeks. They were also saying that the Jackson family will have to pay for police and all the arrangements. I know you have to pay for an escort cause my cousins ex used to do that.

This just keeps getting so bizarre. I hope this doesn't drag out like ANS.

When my nephew died suddenly, the coroner didn't release his body for nearly a month, but my brother had a large memorial service five days after he died. The questions about his death were never answered. He was buried in a private ceremony after the coroner released the body. Maybe the Jackson will do a large memorial service and have a family-only burial when the body is finally released.

Yeah..its customary to give a "tip" to the police when you have them escort you to the cemetery/church or direct traffic. Technically they are not suppose to accept

I think the Coroner released the body on Saturday or Sunday. I heard last night that the coroner's office returned to MJ house and took out some bags, reportedly to be medication, and stuff.

Joe Jackson seems to be acting very strange. Yeah, I know grief can do strange things, but this guy acts, I don't know, high.
