I can't imagine being stranded 80' in the air for 4 hrs.
Do you ride roller coasters?
I've been on all the roller coasters at Disneyland & Knott's Berry Farm even their parachute drop.

Dozens stranded on Bay Area roller coaster
Dozens of people stranded on a roller coaster more than 40 feet above the ground at a Santa Clara amusement park will be freed within the next couple hours, a fire official said.
Rescue workers responded to the call of 28 people stuck on the Invertigo ride at California’s Great America about 1:45 p.m., said Santa Clara Deputy Fire Chief Augie Wiedemann. (Me: They were taken off a little before 6:00 p.m.)
Wiedemann said the riders are sitting upright in the shade while stuck at a 45-degree angle.
Fire trucks with ladders and baskets were brought in to release each person, some of whose legs are dangling as high as 80 feet above the ground.
According to California’s Great America website, Invertigo is classified as a “thrill ride†that takes riders “through loops and boomerangs.â€

Two carriages collided at Blackpool Pleasure Beach when one of them became jammed on the rails, police have said.
Thirty people were injured when the second carriage crashed into the back of the first car on the Big Dipper ride on Tuesday evening.
Up to 21 casualties were taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital with facial, back and neck injuries. Among them was a seven-year-old child.
David Cam, a spokesman for The Pleasure Beach, apologised for the accident.

"I can't even imagine being stuck all afternoon."
Me neither.
I've become more cautious as I've aged but when I was younger "fear" wasn't in my vocabulary.
We must be clones then.....you're a Libra, I'm a Virgo......birthdays just 2 days apart. Go figure.....:))
I can't even begin to tell you the crazy things I did as a youngster (or even not so young). Funny how we act differently as we age isn't it. But that lack of feeling any fear still remains in us to some extent IMO. It creeps out of me sometimes when I least expect it.....drives those around me bonkers. I'd still jump on a coaster and ride it no handed in a New York minute. In Ohio we have two of the top coaster parks in the country. Kings Island & Cedar Point. They have some ass kickin' coasters I tell you. In fact, the one in Cincinnati, Kings Island, just closed one of their coasters for the season this past Tuesday due to a guy dying from heart failure after getting off their "bad boy" ride. He supposedly was in great physical shape too...late 30's I believe. They build em big and brutal in the Buckeye state!!

LOL Sept. is one big celebration for me. Two of my GF's have b'days & we always get together, my brother's b'day 10th
My moms B'Day was in Sept. too....she passed 4 years ago....sigh. Next year I'm making it a point to buy some stock in Hallmark Cards before you go on that annual card craze!!
Poor, poor DH.....you should be ashamed of yourself for scaring him like that...lol.
A quick, useless trivia thingy about Hallmark. I was out at their headquarters on business years ago.....and I struck up a conversation with a supervisor at their plant. We were discussing employee involvement when making crucial business decisions. Their plant that they make the cards was a 3 story building, and the freight elevators they had weren't of sufficient size to get the really large skids of cardboard into them and have transported to the 2nd and 3rd floors. They were at a crossroads as to what to do about this issue when an hourly employee suggested they build a dirt embankment around the side and rear of the structure that gradually went up to the 3rd level, and construct entry doors so that the skids could be quickly unloaded. They took his advice, and the rest is history....eventually they concreted over the dirt, but it was a quick fix to a problem nobody "at the top" thought of. I loved hearing that story at the time, and I love telling that story to this day....lol. Doesn't take much to make me happy as you can well see...:))
