What a slap in the face to his old team Greenbay to sign with their mortal enemies the Vikings!

OK , Brett Favre, you had your chance. In fact, you've had two. The American sports fan can throw bouquets and give an athlete a loving send-off once. The great ones are allowed one comeback. But, Brett, you have exhausted our patience and left us emotionally drained. You cannot let football go, and plan to play it until you simply can't or won't be allowed to anymore. That's all good — but say so. No one was pushing you out to pasture in the first place. Now that you have plucked our heartstrings twice and come back yet again, you're on your own. When this latest fling with the Vikings plays out, you can limp off into the sunset with no one watching. Not even Frank Caliendo doing John Madden could justify shedding another tear.

Only fiction can describe Brett Favre

Oh, Brett ... we knew you would never let us down. We knew you'd be back. But after putting us through such an emotional roller coaster we are ill-prepared to describe what has happened. That's why we look to the words of the silver screen to speak for us.

1) Which movie quote best describes Brett Favre?

He just painted a big ole bulls eye in his jersey. If he's playing against Green Bay, he probably won't be after.

He could have ran for governor of Wisconsin and won in a landslide.....now he couldn't get hired as a fill in pan handler there. He'll be lucky to make it out of Lambeau Field alive when he plays the Pack there in November. Wanna bet an ice cream sundae that game will be shown nationally??? Didn't think so.....lol.

Or he'll have an injury that will keep him from playing in that game.

Or he'll again change his mind and retire before the Pack has a chance to beat the tar out of him.

Or he'll tear a rotator cuff counting all the money he stole from the Viking organization.

Or......you get the message...:))

My DH is so mad at him. His return messed up all of the odds on his sportsbook. LOL

Why can't he stay retired?

Your DH is a man after my own heart...!!

Pro football and gambling.....they go together like ham n cheese.

Back in 2000 I was out in Vegas and I bet a couple of teams to win the Super Bowl. It was just prior to the beginning of the season, and you could get some great odds, depending on the team you chose to win it all. I took the Bengals at 50-1.....and lost of course.....BUT, I also selected the Baltimore Ravens to win it all at 30-1 odds........I plunked $50 down on both of them. Won the $1500 on the Ravens.......My DW hates football season to start......she always seems to get over it though....must be because I have to clean windows, do the laundry, and get groceries in order to convince her buying the NFL Package through Time Warner is a great deal!!

LOL MIDWESTERNMAN, you and my DH would get along fine. :) Football pools at work, sportsbook websites and Vegas not too far away, all work in his favor. I happen to like football, so we look forward to it.

DH had a collection of football memoribilia just piling up. Luckily, we had a son so his whole room turned into a football theme. We're in Charger territory so my
