What a slap in the face to his old team Greenbay to sign with their mortal enemies the Vikings!

OK , Brett Favre, you had your chance. In fact, you've had two. The American sports fan can throw bouquets and give an athlete a loving send-off once. The great ones are allowed one comeback. But, Brett, you have exhausted our patience and left us emotionally drained. You cannot let football go, and plan to play it until you simply can't or won't be allowed to anymore. That's all good — but say so. No one was pushing you out to pasture in the first place. Now that you have plucked our heartstrings twice and come back yet again, you're on your own. When this latest fling with the Vikings plays out, you can limp off into the sunset with no one watching. Not even Frank Caliendo doing John Madden could justify shedding another tear.
Only fiction can describe Brett Favre
Oh, Brett ... we knew you would never let us down. We knew you'd be back. But after putting us through such an emotional roller coaster we are ill-prepared to describe what has happened. That's why we look to the words of the silver screen to speak for us.
1) Which movie quote best describes Brett Favre?

Yes we would....LOL.
I have a sports bar in my basement to die for.....:)) It's decked out with stuff pertaining to all sports, but mostly baseball and football. I have an original seat from old Crosley Field in Cincinnati that I bought for $90, found a place in Minnesota where I bought a riser for it to stand on, hand scraped each layer of old paint on it (I think there was 6 different colors), took a polaroid picture of it for verification that it was in authentic item, received my certificate in the mail to affix to the chair after I repainted it green. I think I have about $185 wrapped up in it total.......I'd never sell it, but was offered $1000 for it last year....hey, it pays to be a sports junkie......lol.
I'm in so many office pools, on line pools, 2 different fantasy football leagues....I'm completely and totally ate up aren't I.....only your DH would understand. I get my jersey on 3 hourse before kickoff.....drink a pot of coffee while reading the sports section many, many times in hopes I had missed something the first few readings, crack the top on my first beer about an hour before the game starts, and the rest is history......
And that's NFL football.....I can't even begin to tell you what I do before an Ohio State game on Saturdays.....it's a wonder I can function like a "normal" person most times...:)) Best weekend of the entire year? Mark Sept. 12 & 13 down....the Bucks play a night game against Southern Cal.....then Sunday the season opener for the Bengals....holy smokes, I hope to get some shut eye Friday night, because I won't be sleeping anymore until late Sunday....yawn. Tell your DH I wish him luck in his pools, bets and whatever else he does. I go to Vegas once a year....I need that "fix", ya know.....Of course you know!!
"....must be because I have to clean windows, do the laundry, and get groceries in order to convince her buying the NFL Package through Time Warner is a great deal!!"
What a nice husband!
I enjoy watching NFL with DH I even watch it when he's not around. We print out 2 copies of all the games for the w'end & pick winning
"Bret can keep coming back as much as he likes.
"We're in Charger territory........"
We lived in San Diego for many years & are Charger fans. Dan Foutts is/was our hero. Love the Chargers & the Patriots.
"
THAT'S what I'm talkin' about.....lol. Thanks for sharing!! I read somewhere that the Chargers are very concerned about ticket sales this year. Seems the economy has hit south Cal in a big way, and they aren't anywhere close to selling out any of their home games this year.
"Are you ready for some football.........."
"Are you ready for some football.........."
Oh YES!!!
16 days till the Buckeye's play. A couple if weeks ago I watched OSU last game against Mich.
Many years ago, our local grocery store had a contest for the Super Bowl. I missed the final score by 1 point. It was Dallas against P....Pi.....Ugh, I can't even type it. My fingers will fall off. I won a bag of chips, a bottle of pop and a football. They ask me which team I was pulling for. I told the guy "Neither. Can't stand them."
Yep, we open against Navy.......I was in the Navy, so I hate rooting against the Midshipmen........but I will!!! GO BUCKS!!
Those dreaded St.....s.........I can't spell it either......I can't stand the sight of those black uniforms.
The great thing about football is it's played in the fall for the most part.....and as you know, the crisp air, the smell of falling leaves, the endless blue skies, all of those things seem to get me in the mood......it's the best time to be living in O-H-I-O don't you agree?
My DW and I just so happened to be flying back to Ohio from San Francisco the day we were playing Michigan about 3 years ago....it broke my heart that I was going to miss the game.....I asked the co-pilot as we were boarding the plane if there was any way he could give me an update on the score during our flight back. He said he'd TRY....yea right....:(
LOL...All I can say is you guys are two peas in a pod.
