People used to complain about the way President Bush spoke. I'm not reading much about President Obama discussing wee-wee. Has he regressed to pre-K?

Robert Gibbs Defines Obama Phrase, 'Wee-Wee'd Up'

resident Obama told supporters Thursday, "There is something about August going into September where everybody in Washington gets all wee-wee'd up!" If this confused you, read on.

On Friday, a reporter in the White House press corps asked press secretary Robert Gibbs to define "wee-wee'd up," and he obliged.

"I think 'wee-wee'd up' is when people get nervous for no particular reason," Gibbs said. He explained that pundits and Obama watchers also became unnecessarily worked up in August 2007, "when the rap on the president and the campaign was, 'He's faring poorly in Iowa and can't win the election.' " Gibbs said that in August 2008, doubters again worked themselves up over the Obama campaign and whether he could win the presidency.

"This is an August pundit pattern," he said, adding that heath care reform has a long way to go before being called a success or failure.

As for the president's colorful phrasing, Gibbs said, "'Bed wetting' would be the more consumer-friendly term."

Yes, Obama's choice of words is definitely is a major concern. That, and the teleprompter issue ;-)

I wouldn't have minded the way Bush spoke if one got the impression that he was a deep thinker. Instead, Bush's malapropisms and general air of being fumble-mouthed, particularly in his extemporaneous comments, seemed to be a reflection of whatever was going on his brain--which is to say, not much of anything logical or coherent!

And his actions/policies tended to prove as much.
