A small world for sure!! I got extremely nervous on the 50 & Fab board I tell ya....at times I thought I was in an all girls school and was wearing a dress for crying out loud...lol. Those ladies were very nice to me though, and I have fond memories of that board because it was the exact time of the birth of my little grand daughter Penny Rose.

"Even" men can contribute to a board?? Did you actually say that?? Of all the nerve.....haha. I really enjoy reading the posts of such informed and intelligent ladies and gentlemen who post here. I tell you, I learn something new and different each and every time I come here.....truth. I add things every now and again, just so I don't appear to be a lurker......but nothing like the "regulars" here.

Your mention of libraone also being on the other board.......she's a great source of knowledge here, and I read everything she posts. She's a Patriot fan though, so her mind must be clouded with weird things we aren't privy to, ya know......

Do you remember a long poem I posted on the other board called "The Land Of Sandra Dee", by chance? It's still one of my all time favorite poems. Just curious.... Oh, I remember the stories about that first fella who posted over there and caused a tremendous uproar.....lol. Made me watch what I posted, I'll tell you that!! Take care, you hear.

I was cl on that board for quite sometime & still keep in touch with several of the women. I much prefer discussions that are a bit more controversial. Here I can disagree without losing friends. ;)

.....and I don't want to.....lol.

The CL when I posted over there was from North Carolina I believe. I could be wrong about that.....she was a huge animal lover.....had horses I believe. Do you recall who I'm thinking about?

I'm glad you're over here now. No worries about having disagreements and losing friends......cause people here like to disagree....it makes em happy.....lol.

Do I ever remember that poem!! And my reply was probably "I LOVED Sandra Dee! She was my favorite!" If you find that poem, maybe you could post it at the bottom in one of the "off subject" or whatever segments on this board. I would love to read it again.

Libraone was probably the first person to welcome me when I was on the 50s board, and we have been friends ever since. Maybe someday, we will even meet! She has a wealth of information and common sense.

This board is great because anyone and everyone posts here. We may not all agree, but we do respect everyone's right to their opinion.

Glad to reconnect with an "old" friend!

I wasn't going to comment on Swayzes death even though it made me sad. Then I was at the grocery store and saw his picture. He was such a sexy man! I've always had a thing for the lean, dancer types.

Seeing his picture reminded me of an interview I saw him in many years ago.

His mother was a dancer, which was why he became a dancer. She sort of forced him to take dancing. At one point in his boyhood, he had to go straight from school, to ballet lessons. So he had to take his ballet shoes to school with him. Of course this meant some of the bullies started harassing and
