Boycott the Glenn Beck Boycott!

If this were Canada or Europe, crushing a right-winger would be a snap: all you have to do is haul him before a “human rights tribunal” (packed, of course, with ultra-leftist judges), accuse him of “racial hatred,” and off to jail he goes.

Boycott the Glenn Beck Boycott!

With the Obama administration leading the charge, multicultural elites are joining forces to silence conservative Fox News commentator Glenn Beck. It’s time for Americans of all political persuasions to fight back against this blatant attack on the Constitutional principle of free speech.

I would have no problems with the Catholic church pulling out sponsorship of anything that supports abortion, or anything they disagree with. That's their perogative, even as a multinational multibillion dollar business. It's the right of any organization to support their views. If you want to speak your mind and accept money for it, which is what Glenn Beck does, you have to expect that those who support you will not do so if you speak against what they believe. No one is saying he shouldn't say what he wants. They're saying they aren't going to PAY for him to speak against their beliefs. Would you support an organization that sponsored the KKK? What if Coca Cola had sponsored someone who then joined the KKK and spoke about it and how great their views were? Would you expect Coca Cola to continue its support?

Apparently. I'm eagerly awaiting the Catholic Church sponsorship of Planned Parenthood.

Would you feel the same way about someone who makes statements just to get a reaction (aka 'ratings')?

I completely agree with free speech but don't think corporations have the obligation to pay for someone to express his views if it's contrary to what they believe. Glenn Beck can say whatever he wants, he can find companies that will pay him for it but not every company must support him. LOL, no one is expecting corporations to pay for any of us to speak to the American public and if iVillage doesn't agree w/ what we say, they can delete us. But the government hasn't put us in jail and Glenn Beck is still roaming the streets, a free man--which is what free speech means in the Constitution.

Chuckle, chuckle, chuckle-some people are just SO funny!

Glenn Beck is paid handsomely for his "views". He can say just about anything he darn well pleases, and he will still get paid for it, whether people like it or not.
