Farrakhan suspicious of H1N1 vaccine
MEMPHIS, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan told an audience in Memphis he believes the H1N1 flu vaccine was developed to kill people, a witness said.
Farrakhan, 76, spoke for nearly three hours Sunday at a gathering to observe the religious group's Holy Day of Atonement, which also marked the 14th anniversary of the Million Man March in Washington, the (Memphis) Commercial Appeal reported, citing a source who attended the speech.
"The Earth can't take 6.5 billion people. We just can't feed that many. So what are you going to do? Kill as many as you can. We have to develop a science that kills them and makes it look as though they died from some disease," Farrakhan said, adding that many wise people won't take the vaccine.
"The black community has become toxic and must cleanse and restore peace from within," Farrakhan said.
Farrakhan told listeners not to become complacent as a result of Barack Obama's election as the United States' first black president, the newspaper said.
"You have to understand that he was voted in to take on the affairs of a nation, not yours and mine. He is the American president, not the black president," he said.

This is coming from a Nation of Islam minister. Is THIS what Islam teaches?

((He is "advising" his listeners not to get the vaccine and claiming he won't be.))
I would love to see a link stating that he is advising his listeners not to get the vaccine. I have heard him say that he isn't getting it....but he also said that he thinks people should decide for themselves whether or not they will get it.
He is opposed to a government mandate that people MUST get the vaccine. He doesn't want the government telling him what he MUST do.
((Rush has been saying pretty much the same thing, except that is was Obama trying to kill Conservatives.))
Links please. I never heard him say that the H1N1 vaccine was developed to kill people. I have never heard him say that Obama is trying to kill conservatives.
Also, Rush is a radio commentator....not a minister for the Nation of Islam. Big difference there.
Granted, I don't listen to him much...just a few times in the car when there is no good music playing on the radio. I might have missed him say these things.
TIA for the links.
In Reagan's defense as the UFO goes (I can't/won't defend astrologers), I thought he said he saw a UFO, not a flying saucer. I think a lot of people have seen things in the sky that they couldn't identify, hence UFO. Now, if he had claimed to see a flying sauce and little green beings, then I'd wonder.
You've never read your horoscope? ;)
I believe Jimmy Carter saw a UFO too.
((Why would Limbaugh make it sound like regular people would be FORCED, when in reality, the vaccination is in short supply, and only those in the highest risk groups would be offered it? ))
Again, it is typical of CNN to completely spin what Rush has said. He said he opposed to anyone in the government (Kathleen Sebelius) telling him he MUST take the vaccine. He never said he is opposed to the vaccine itself. He never said that other people should refuse the vaccine.
He just doesn't want the government telling him what he MUST and MUST NOT do.
Why do liberal news media continue to spin a story just to suit their agenda?
But to stay on topic....this thread is not about Limbaugh refusing to take the vaccine.
It is about Farrakhan telling his followers (Muslims) that the vaccine was created to kill people. Can you really not see the difference in the two?
(( Taking a break from Rush wouldn't be such a bad idea, IMO.))
Agreed. But I am not the one who keeps bringing him up. You might want to tell the other posters to take a break from him as well. They seem to know more of what he says than I do. And they keep dragging him into the conversation when the topic has nothing to do with him.
I can't remember the last time I read my horoscope! But, I've never run my life, my day, or a country by it.
