Sure. The youtube clip intersperses an old clip of Dwight Schrute (paranoid character in The Office) talking about an OnStar conspiracy with Beck's words from the other day.
The comments of Beck (after suggesting that the government is taking over everything, and making the connection that OnStar's client is General Motors):
"Do you want the government to be able to know where you are in the car all the time, also to be able to have a microphone in your car, so why would we trust them with listening and tracking devices, and a device that will turn your car off?"
The second link is to audio for Beck's show, where he notes what I've quoted, and also that he first saw the commercial (re: Stolen Vehicle Slowdown, see link below) in September, and remembers years ago having a conversation about the civil liberties problem with such a capacity, and goes on about the "direction" the government has been taking.
(( But Beck gets a free pass while Farrakhan doesn't.))
How in the heck can you say that Beck gets a free pass? All the liberals do on these boards is complain about every single thing that Beck or Hannity or Limbaugh does.
You call THAT a free pass?
((Paranoia is everywhere.))
From reading the posts on these boards....I would say you are exactly right.
I meant conservatives on this board jumped on Farrakhan, as did the liberals but when Beck's paranoia came up, there was complete silence from conservatives.
((but when Beck's paranoia came up, there was complete silence from conservatives))
Maybe that's because the conservatives on these boards don't listen to Beck. It seems the only people who actually listen to him are liberals....just so they can then complain about him.
Truth be told....I don't even know what you are talking about with "Beck's paranoia". I don't listen to the guy so I would not be able to comment on him on an ongoing basis like the liberals seem to do.
