Focus on the Family Super Bowl ad

And email I received from Care2.  I will boycott the Super Bowl should they show Focus on the Family's ad.  I'm very disappointed in CBS.

In the past, CBS has denied other organizations, like MoveOn.org and United Church of Christ, the chance to get their word out during the Superbowl because the network considered their messages to be too controversial. But it seems its definition of "controversial" has changed. CBS approved an ad by the ultra-conservative group Focus on the Family, attacking a woman's right to choose.

Demand that CBS pull this controversial and disrespectful ad from the Superbowl line-up >>

The Superbowl is the most-watched television program in the country -- a prime opportunity for anti-choice groups to broadcast their idea that a woman doesn't have the right to make decisions about her own body. What's worse is CBS has no plans to run a pro-choice ad to balance both sides of the issue.

CBS's decision to run the anti-choice ad is biased, unfair and unethical. Tell CBS to cancel the Superbowl ad from Focus on the Family >>

Thanks for taking action!

I think what too many are missing is that CBS has denied ads to those with an opposing POV in the past.

Just a thought, but why would time be a factor in running an ad during the Super Bowl by a pro-choice group?

I takes time to put together an ad...writing, acting, editing, etc.

What I find strange is that if a poll were taken I doubt Tebow would be that high on the list. He ain't all that.

So true, so true.

I guess I just look at it as another commercial. I don't drink. But I laugh at some of the Budweiser commercials. I'll probably never be able to buy a new car. I don't have and I never will have a baby again. ( took care of that 29 years ago.;-)) Plus there are many commercials that don't apply to me. ED, Pampers, tampons, just to name a few. I don't quit watching a show because they advertise beer and there are a lot of alcoholics in my family.

Besides, my Mom was told when she was pregnant with me, to not buy any thing. That I would be born dead. Guess I fooled them!. Nobody has ever approached her to do a commercial. I guess I just don't care about FoF or their commercial. To me it's just some one else on TV trying to sway others to their side. Just like every other commercial.

Would you boycott if they were showing a pro-choice ad?? Or would it then be okay since its something you agree with??

I don't get it why the liberals are so about "free speech" and "tolerance" until someone on the other side says something.

Why would it upset you that women are being encouraged to bring life into this world?

You are here because someone "chose" to "let" you live.

Why boycott an ad which basically says "You have a right to make your own choices in this matter"?
