It is okay to hate in your heart, but it is NOT okay to hate so much that you risk innocent lives.    This is what that continuous low-level drum beat of hate of Obama produces:

No Contest Plea In Obama Tattoo Firebombing

February 4, 2010

SALINAS, Calif. -- A man suspected of firebombing a Monterey tattoo parlor after it refused to ink an offensive tattoo targeting President Barack Obama on his chest has pleaded no contest to arson charges.

According to the Monterey County District Attorney's Office, Nathan Augustine, 35, was arrested for the arson in October 2009.

Deputy District Attorney Douglas Matheson said Augustine had confessed to throwing a Molotov cocktail at Creative Visions, a tattoo parlor in Monterey, on July 13. He was also charged with and confessed to torching the Lattitudes restaurant in Pacific Grove on July 15th after he was turned down on a job application.

At the scene of the Monterey fire, investigators found vodka bottles converted into incendiary devices bearing the words "Russian Standard," a swastika, and a symbol similar to the British Union Jack with added diagonal lines through it in red ink handwriting.

Matheson said Augustine had visited Creative Visions and asked for a tattoo of a swastika and an image of President Obama overlaid with crosshairs.

"They refused to give it to him and he caused a little disturbance and left," he said.

Matheson said the arson cases began to crack open after Augustine was arrested in connection with a vandalism spree in Monterey. Between January and April 2009, a number of swastikas were painted around the city, along with the phrases "kill Obama" and "death to Obama."

A search of Augustine's home yielded numerous containers of lighter fluid, gloves similar to those found at Lattitudes and the symbol similar to the Union Jack with the added diagonal lines.

Augustine faces seven years in prison when he is sentenced March 12.>>>

There are some scary people out there & it doesn't help that some far right whack jobs publicly spout hate-filled speech. They add fuel to already disturbed minds.

In my lifetime, there have been many presidents. I just don't remember all the Hate like there is now. Even when Kennedy was elected. Yes, there were people that were a little over the top. Yes, the end result was beyond tragic. But, I just don't ever remember so many people so full of Hate.

These Tea Party groups really disturb me. At any minute I keep expecting to see white sheets and torches being passed out. Scary, real scary.

There are crazy people of all stripes. I'm wondering if some like Rush Limbaugh will come to his defense because of his "right" to free speech and say it was all overreacting.

No...the right won't come to his defense. The firebombing activity simply cannot be defended. What if Republicans had been harmed in the burning building?

They won't come to his defense, but I wonder how many will publicly denounce his actions.

What bothers me the most is that there seem to be sooo many people like this!

I can honestly say I "hated" GWB, but not in any emotional sense. I hated his policies, his attitude, his politics, the way he allowed the country to sink underneath him. I never hated him on an emotional level because I don't know him and he never personally did anything to me.

I agree with you. GWB did some pretty bad things, but I never hated him. Disliked him a lot. Especially when that war started.

I see so much hatred over on PT. Some were happy when Ted Kennedy passed away. Just recently when a democratic congressman passed, there were some who actually wished more would do the same. And a few that reminds us at least once a day how they feel about Obama. It's pretty disgusting.

I would not be surprised if more of these kooks do some serious damage.
