It is okay to hate in your heart, but it is NOT okay to hate so much that you risk innocent lives. This is what that continuous low-level drum beat of hate of Obama produces:

No Contest Plea In Obama Tattoo Firebombing
February 4, 2010
SALINAS, Calif. -- A man suspected of firebombing a Monterey tattoo parlor after it refused to ink an offensive tattoo targeting President Barack Obama on his chest has pleaded no contest to arson charges.
According to the Monterey County District Attorney's Office, Nathan Augustine, 35, was arrested for the arson in October 2009.
Deputy District Attorney Douglas Matheson said Augustine had confessed to throwing a Molotov cocktail at Creative Visions, a tattoo parlor in Monterey, on July 13. He was also charged with and confessed to torching the Lattitudes restaurant in Pacific Grove on July 15th after he was turned down on a job application.
At the scene of the Monterey fire, investigators found vodka bottles converted into incendiary devices bearing the words "Russian Standard," a swastika, and a symbol similar to the British Union Jack with added diagonal lines through it in red ink handwriting.
Matheson said Augustine had visited Creative Visions and asked for a tattoo of a swastika and an image of President Obama overlaid with crosshairs.
"They refused to give it to him and he caused a little disturbance and left," he said.
Matheson said the arson cases began to crack open after Augustine was arrested in connection with a vandalism spree in Monterey. Between January and April 2009, a number of swastikas were painted around the city, along with the phrases "kill Obama" and "death to Obama."
A search of Augustine's home yielded numerous containers of lighter fluid, gloves similar to those found at Lattitudes and the symbol similar to the Union Jack with the added diagonal lines.
Augustine faces seven years in prison when he is sentenced March 12.>>>

(None of our elected politicians are willing to do anything about the problem.)
Well, Sheriff Joe is not exactly a "politician" but he is an elected official and he is the ONLY one who is willing to do something about the problem....like enforce the law. And we all know how he is attacked by the liberals for that.
((We should start enforcing our laws by immediately deporting those who are found to be here illegally))
Sounds simple, right? Well, that's exactly what our sheriff is doing, but the problem (for the liberals and ACLU) is that the illegals live and work along with the legal immigrants. When they are rounded up in sweeps, some legals are rounded up as well. If the legals don't speak English and cannot prove they are in the country legally, they are detained....sometimes for hours. The ACLU and the liberals start crying foul, racial profiling!!! They don't want any sweeps. The liberals, including Nancy Pelosi, don't want to enforce the immigration laws.
((We need to have HUGE fines against employers who hire illegal aliens. ))
Totally agree!
<>
That's the problem right there. You don't go "rounding up" a bunch of people in order to determine who is illegal or legal. There are plenty of ways law enforcement can detain illegal aliens and turn them over for deportation, maybe not quite in the numbers that Joe does, but what he is doing is wrong on so many levels.
So, yeah, I guess you are right about liberals not wanting to do "sweeps." It is against the civil rights of every single LEGAL citizen who gets caught up in them and that makes it wrong and unconstitutional.
Geez, what happened to conservatives and the Constitution? It seems that conservatives always try to wrap themselves in the Constitution, but then turn around and do/advocate things that are clearly unconstitutional. I don't get it.
((Law enforcement's hands shouldn't be tied when it comes to turning in illegal aliens for deportation should they discover that someone they have arrested or stopped for due cause is an illegal alien.))
Ah....if it were only that simple. Many legal immigrants do not speak English. They don't carry proper identification or proof that they are in the country legally. Many illegal immigrants have fake ID's and paperwork. It makes it virtually impossible for law enforcement officers to know immediately if they are legal or not.
The ACLU would prefer we let them all go. Not to 'racially profile'. How stupid is that? Are we going to pull over the red headed blue eyed person who speaks English and suspect them of being illegal? Ummm.....know. However if a dark skinned, dark haired hispanic looking person, who doesn't speak English and doesn't have identification....well....gee....that's a no brainer now...isn't it?
((Do you have a link to that because I can't find anything about him going after companies? ))

((There is a better way to find and deport illegal aliens, but Sheriff Joe's way is not the way to go about it.))
And that would be????? What exactly? As far as I am concerned, Sheriff Joe is the only one who is willing to take the bull by the horns. Good for Sheriff Joe! He will always get my vote!
((There are plenty of ways law enforcement can detain illegal aliens and turn them over for deportation,))
And what are those "plenty of ways" that law enforcement can detain illegals? I anxiously await your answer.
((Lest you forget, sweeps and roundups were done in Nazi Germany, too.))
Oh please! You cannot be serious!
I am anxiously wondering how the liberals on these boards propose "rounding up" the illegals and deporting them.
Remember, you can not go after them just because they "look" hispanic, or they don't have any legal documentation, or they don't speak English, or they live in a hispanic community.
What's the liberal plan here?
<< It makes it virtually impossible for law enforcement officers to know immediately if they are legal or not.>>
That's not legal citizens' problem. The federal government needs to come up with some sort of tamper/forgery-proof documentation that citizens can have.
<>
That's not true. The ACLU would prefer that no legal citizen's rights are trampled on in the quest to find illegal aliens.
<>
Funny how only illegal Hispanics are being targeted.
***I'm going to call BS on that one. Law enforcement's hands shouldn't be tied when it comes to turning in illegal aliens for deportation should they discover that someone they have arrested or stopped for due cause is an illegal alien. The problem is that this sheriff is actively searching for illegal aliens and targeting anyone who looks Mexican. That's not a good thing in a state that has a high population of Hispanics and Native Americans (many of whom look Hispanic). That's harassing citizens based on the way they look and that is absolutely wrong in the United States.****
ITA
***Oh, puhleaze, I'm in a state with a big illegal alien problem, too, but I absolutely disagree with you. Just because a person looks a certain way does not mean that they lose their Constitutional rights in this country. There is a better way to find and deport illegal aliens, but Sheriff Joe's way is not the way to go about it.****
ITA again. This is exactly my point.
I don't particular *like* it when the ACLU defends people that I consider scumbags, but on the other hand, I also know that they would be there for me should anyone try to violate MY civil rights. Just because someone is a scumbag doesn't mean they lose their constitutional rights.
LOL! I agree about a sarcasm icon. I think the closest we have the eye roll.
