<<"if you want to reach an economically diverse audience...like those teenagers in Flint who have military recruiters in their school lunchroom...your best bet is to put it in a theater. A movie ticket costs 10 bucks. A computer with a high speed cable modem costs considerably more.">>.....

There are mány who sell their work to tv-stations because they believe their message is more important than moola and ego. MM could have done that and reach that <<"economically diverse audience">>. He didn't. The only reason I can think of is because he wants to make (more) money.

He already had that Oscar and a reputation. Another way is (if he cares to reach everyone), like

I still think that everyone should see the movie, and then judge for yourselves.

I don't know which media you're watching, because that's ALL I hear about on the three major networks, and in my local very liberal newspaper. If I want to see any of the good our soldiers are doing I have to watch Fox, where I can see Oliver North who is actually there WITH the soldiers while they provide security, medical care, rebuilt infrastructure and freedom to as many Iraqis as they possibly can, many of whom appear quite grateful. I don't know who in their right mind thought that helping this country out from under years of oppression and financial deprivation by its leadership was going to be a big cakewalk. It's tough no question but there ARE good things happening in Iraq.

ROTFLOL! Oh, that's a good one!>

Didn't you know about George Bush? He's like a superhero-by day he's a bumbling incompetent moron. By night he's the evil, diabolical master of the universe, all knowing and all controlling!

<"It is sadly very possible that many 15- and 16-year-olds will be asked and recruited to serve in Iraq in the next couple of years," Moore said. "If they are old enough to be recruited and capable of being in combat and risking their lives, they certainly deserve the right to see what is going on in Iraq." >

Huh? Did we institute a draft, and one for those under 18 while I wasn't paying attention?

I see them every single day on CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, and Fox. Let me give you a website given to me to maybe open your eye a bit more about what the coalition is doing over there. My neighbors husband sent this to us because he is over there in a supply tent near Iran. I hope this sheds a little light for you.

Canadian...Let me give you another side of the story. Facts are what they are...You speak of ***I think MM's move gave a small dent on presenting the 'other view' in comparison to the one-sided view the media provides.*** Yet your country doesn't allow Fox news to be aired? How fair is that? Also I would be fine with Moore's movie IF it represented a factual account of what is going on...Moore only accomplished one thing...he divided this country in half. Sad that most just believe him without doing their own research. I did...most of his movie is either not the whole story or lies.

He said that 16 year olds could be fighting in the next couple of years. 16 + 2 = 18.

I also think you can be recruited before 18, but not sign up until then. i'm not sure about that though.

I finally saw the movie on Sunday. It brought up a lot of good points that all Americans should be aware of before they vote. Even though Bush came in for much of the scrutiny, Moore certainly didn't give the Democrats a pass.

People are worried that Moore is making money. The man is making a living doing something he's passionate about and we as American citizens should be grateful that someone is willing to do the grunt work and come up with a documentary which gives us so much insight into the workings of this administration, the media and our military recruiters, among others.

Even if you don't agree with Moore's politics, he's produced a well researched documentary and anyone who votes should see it - unless they're afraid it will force them think (a troubling thought when you already KNOW everything).

TV stations? Have you been following the FCC and CBS this past year about one or two lines in a Reagan biopic? Do you think they'd air F9/11? Maybe cable would, but then you're right back to the fact that it costs more than a movie ticket. For premium cable (which means I get basic plus HBO) I pay $70 a month.

Maybe NPR would sofly describe the movie to us, to the gentle sounds of a rain stick...
