Obviously, you haven't even bothered to see the movie.

How can anyone sit around criticizing something they have no first hand knowledge of, expecting those who have seen it to describe every little thing about it and explain it , scene by scene. Why not simply see the movie?

If people are that afraid of this FILM, why do they bother to get on this thread?

<<"If people are that afraid of this FILM,">>.....who is afraid of this film?

<<"why do they bother to get on this thread?">>.....because it's a poll "yes"/"no"/"plan to".

If no one knew we were under attack, then why did Andy Card lean in and whisper in the president's ear "America is under attack." I know that's pretty vague...what do you think he meant?

Anyone who keeps digging around to find out every single detail about it but won't go themselves.

<<"why do they bother to get on this thread?">>.....because it's a poll "yes"/"no"/"plan to".

So answer the poll, if you haven't seen the film - do so, THEN make an informed comment.

No, and I don't intend to. I've already wasted as much of my life as I intend to watching Michael Moore's 'documentaries.'

Why do I need to see the film to discuss President Bush's actions? He's not a character being portrayed in a work of fiction for goodness sake.

Ok, I did some research, and Fox News was indeed turned down for application from the CRTC.

THIS BEING SAID, it wasn't alone. The CRTC turned down an attempt last year by the cable industry to bring a whole raft of U.S. channels to Canada together, including HBO, ESPN and Fox News.

Is ESPN turned down because it's conservative? How about HBO????

The selection process has more to do about canadian content and protecting canadian competition, which any country has a right to do. It's about protecting our Canadian culture and heritage. As a small country (population wise) neighbour to a country with 10 times our population, we could quickly lose our identity. Quebec has even more of a problem, being a french 'island' among a sea of english... But that's a whole other story...

Anyway, isn't there a similar organization in the US that reviews what can be broadcast? Does everyone get canadian stations there? Legally that is. I gather here one can get Fox News and many others on an illegal satellite

Yes, he could have done a lot of things, and I'm not even trying to say he ABSOLUTELY did the right thing. But anti-Bush people like to imply that he stayed because he's a complete moron who had no idea what else to do. All I'm saying is there could be a million reasons in his own mind why it was better to finish what he was doing than to leap up and run off in a panic. Perhaps he didn't make the decision some would have made, that doesn't make him stupid. And I just get tired of all the nit-picking of every thing he does-good lord, if any President's every move had been put under the microscope the way Bush's have, we probably would have impeached most of them! In the end, did that extra 4-6 minutes some believe he overstayed make any difference to anything? Of course not, so why hammer the President over something that affected nothing?
