That’s your interpretation of his expressions, not mine – which is fine.

As far as your attacks on Moore, I have never defended him on any of my many posts on two boards. What I have defended was his right to make this film and have it be seen by as many people as possible, who want to see it. Both Moore and Gibson are not only talented filmmakers, but they are also terrific businessmen.

I think if you go back to my first post on this thread, you’ll see that initially I wasn’t too impressed with the film’s beginning – nothing that I hadn’t already read and heard before. But then the art of filmmaking kicked in and Moore succeeded IMO in creating a work that – love it or hate it – was never boring.

I would be surprised if you didn’t find his depiction of the actual tragedy of 9/11 exceptionally powerful and moving. We didn’t have to see it to bring all those memories back – I thought this was the first great image in a film of very effective visual images.

The tape segments of the president in the classroom were new to me and for that reason alone were really interesting to me. But I did evaluate the president’s “performance” there and it came up wanting IMO. Did Moore present the tape segments in a way that would impress upon the audience exactly how long that seven minutes was – of course he did. Moore wasn’t making a pro-Bush film and I think he’s been very forthright about his intentions. No one seeing this film should be surprised by the criticisms of President Bush in it.

IMO this film is really an anti-war film with an anti-Bush sub-text.

BTW the reason you aren’t on their phone and email lists is because you aren’t registered to vote here ;-) LOL

I know you didn't, and I never said he didn't have the right to make

Every single president has been 'nit picked at'. That's what happens in a democracy. They work for us.

But in terms of your last statement, I don't know how you can say that it made no difference. We'll never know, now will we! From what I gathered, the Pentagon could have been evacuated, since they figured it could be a target. I don't know EITHER if that could have happened, but neither do you.

There are no lies or factual errors. Interpretation of the facts is however subjective. But one thing is clear - this is no Kerry commercial. He's very hard on the democrats. I've see the movie - twice. None of the 'allegations' of incorrect facts or of lies have been true. I don't know how come so many people can get away with misrepresenting what is actually said in the movie in mainstream media. It baffles my mind!

LOL. Well, with our weather here, it would be hard to get the kids to play more football than hockey. I think sports people end up watching has a lot to do with the sports they played and loved as children. But I'm not the one to comment on this... I don't watch any sports except occasionally the NHL playoff and figure staking competitions...

Well, when I did my research, one site mentioned that Fox news had a lot of foul-speaking hosts who weren't exactly polite with their guests, and that maybe that played a role. But most of what I read had to do with only having one 'spot' for a US news channel, and CNN was there first, and already has a lot of people watching it who don't want it pulled away. Adding another news network would take away market share from CNN but also the various Canadian all-news network. I also get a French news channel BTW. I personally don't see why we should get more american media. In fact, we need more diversity of opinions. All the mainstream american media is very conservative IN MY OPINION, and rarely show the other side of the war in Iraq for example, or examine what's going on in Saudi Arabia, or in many other countries, especially when it's critical of the US government. Also, the choice of vocabulary is always amazing to me. How things are presented has a lot of influence on who people perceive it. Journalists should present the facts without massaging it, in my humble opinion. Unless it is a clear 'opinion piece' and labeled as such.

Ok, sorry, my mistake. You think it's OK to steal from people you think are "lunatics".

That makes it all better!
