Wow, you really did it. If I had known you were going to I would have been circumspect enough to suggest "IT ISN'T EASY BEING GREEN" as well.

I see the rainbow and the birds are all a flutter with excitement and anticipation. I am so thrilled beyone words that it is Kerry/Edwards. I believe between the 2 of them they will be able to fix some of the wrongs that have been created by Bush & co. This is going to be 4 long months!!

I think it's going to be four FUN months! The harder they fight, the sillier they look! My husband and I were joking last night that the deeper in the mud they get, the more we'll dish back (but without the mud)...and "we" won't have a hair out of place!

We attended a local event for Kerry/Edwards and the dem party last night. It was a "house party" but in the form of a picnic at a public park. The turnout was ok considering the lack of advertising (only on the Kerry website), and I think we even got a few walkers-by, but it helped us make some good contacts, sign up for voluneering, get some bumper stickers, etc. We also met one of the Democratic candidates for Dick Gephardt's seat, Jeff Smith.

STAND TALL AND FIGHT THEM ALL!

Though I'm not a registered Democrat (not registered Republican either- don't worry! hehe) I hope I'm welcome here. That's great you're helping out mrsed! I certainly haven't been this excited about an election before. It's time to turn the country around and gain back some of the respect from the world we have lost over the last 3 years!

I feel the same! The minute I heard it was going to be Edwards I was thrilled. In fact the night before it was announced at about 3 am ( I had raging insomnia that night!)A friend IMed me absolutely thrilled because he'd found a post on an Aviation Forum that someone had seen them repainting the Kerry plane and adding Edwards. I was jumping up and down screaming. lol I would have been so bummed if he had picked anyone else. Especially Gephardt...

And clearly the Repubs *are* intimidated, have you heard all the buzz about Cheney? If they are even discussing that, it says they are worried.

I agree that most definitely they are intimidated. But they're just attempting to blow it off by calling Kerry & Edwards "the pretty boys". Such a weak defense! Please- like that's the main reason anyone would support them. I could care less what they look like- I just want someone with a brain in his head to win the election, unlike who we have now. If I was a Republican, I would be so embarassed by Bush and there's no way I'd could defend him. It's just impossible. :-D

Of course they are worried and they should be!! It is like what has been said, It is now time to look forward to the future instead of dreading it. With Kerry/Edwards the future is bright and promising!!!

I have long ago given up trying to understand the reasons why some people are so determined to support Bush. How someone can continue to support him in the face of his utter failure as a president is beyond me. I don't know and truly I am beyond caring. I just want Bush out of the office before he damages this country anymore.

BTW has anyone taken a serious look at that BUSH/Cheney site that someone posted under the thread GREAT SITE.... it is bloody brilliant.I've already sent to link to about 16 people.

Is this the seat the Mel Carnahan's son is running for also? My DH said they were talking about someone named Smith last night on KWMU. People in the St. Louis area are pretty fired up about him. I'm sure this is the same guy.
