"I think Iraq is the most serious and imminent threat to our country."--John Edwards, "CNN Late Edition," Feb. 24, 2002

He is the person who called Iraq an "imminent" threat. Not Bush

I am just curious...If Bush used every other word in the book that insinuated "imminent" but wasn't actually that word...then why in the heck did they quote him using that word and accuse him of using that exact context if from what you are saying he used many other words that insinuated "imminent"...does that make any sense at all? They "supposedly" had plenty of other words to accuse him of except they picked the one he actually didn't use? Wow what logic!

How do you know why Edwards said what he said? Could it be he saw the same intelligence and and agreed with the President? Does that make him "blind" because he followed the Presidents lead? The excuses only get better. So a possible Vp who is "blind" and a liar and who turned out to be wrong ? Yah that's so much better. Who is to say he doesn't act this way if elected? What to look forward to.

LOl, actually I believe cl-whren is just calling it like it is...My sister always has the news on but never actually watches it..and a few times she has been bathing her son while trying to hear the news. It's funny Renee said that because I have witnessed it. LOL

Well, for one, no links or sources were provided, so research is required to validate it. Second of all, he was just a junior senator, not the president and 'in the know'. Instead, he was the recipient of information provided by the Government. To me, it only shows that the arguments presented were 'well spun". After all, a large chunk of the population also believed that Iraq was a threat to the US~

They DID NOT get the same information. I've heard and read that they were not provided the sources, so they had to rely on the government assessment on how 'reliable' their sources were. Most people on this board don't accept anything without knowing the sources!

Wonder Boy is on the Senate Intelligence Committee which means he had the exact same information the president did. The separation of powers means that Congress acts independent of the president; they are not subordinate to him.
