"I think Iraq is the most serious and imminent threat to our country."--John Edwards, "CNN Late Edition," Feb. 24, 2002

He is the person who called Iraq an "imminent" threat. Not Bush

Only IF they had the same information, which is clearly not the case. The president has no restrictions on what information he gets. He DID have the sources, and all the details around the information. The senators had summarized information, with no sources, which they COMPLAINED ABOUT, so they had to rely on TRUST alone.

Wait I am confused...should you question your government and President or should you just believe what he says as being gospel? Which is it? No one forced Edwards to believe anything...he saw what the President did and drew the same conclusions...the excuses are getting to the point of ridiculous and sounding quite "double standardish"...LOL

I rest my case. ;)

One more time, they had the same information. The Senate does not rely on the president for information. They get it directly from the intelligence agencies and those on the intelligence committees, Edwards included, have the highest level of security clearance.

"IN MY OPINION, the point of it was to be rude and put down those that do not agree with her point of view."

Yes, that's what I thought too.I used to ignore her, guess it's time to return to that.

"What I find slimy are people (like Kerry and Edwards) who supported the Iraq action totally when they believed it was the popular thing to do, and who now act as thought they were totally against it because it isn't going all that well."

There's a lot more to it then just "it's not going well" Things have changed signifigantly since we were deluged with all the "proof" that Iraq had all those WMD's. I know lots of people who supported the war intitially based on all the "evidence" that was presented. Why should a politician be different?

"What President Bush said all along was that we learned from 9/11 that we can't wait until threats become realities before we act."

Can we at least wait till a threat becomes real and not imaginary?

Did you not learn anything from 9/11?
