This board actually has plenty of Dems quacking about and sharing their POV's here...sorry it is the Republicans or Conservatives who seem to be winning the debates ;)
By the way, have you voted in the board election? http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-elpoliticsto&msg=3384.1&ctx=128
The results will probably surprise (most of) us!

Wow... I didn't know this board was all about winning or losing. I thought it was a place to come and discuss the issues, and heck- maybe even try to open your mind and to see things from someone else's point of view. Guess I was wrong about that.

Hang in there. I've run into a lot of Republicans who are feeling pretty cocky - Republican White House, Congress and Senate, some argue Supreme Court, even the media. They think they're the only ones allowed an opinion. Best way to shut them up - vote them out. Get out there and get involved.
Then there are the sane Republicans who are willing to listen and debate without name calling. I learn the most from them. There are a few here on this board. You just have to take the good with the bad. Unfortunately it takes time to get through their posts and it's about 1 good post to 10 name calling baseless ones.
But in the end remember we all agree on one thing - this country is worth fighting for, as is our freedom of speech. :-) Keep fighting the good fight no matter what side you're on. In the end we'll all realize the power we have on November 2nd (assuming the Diebold machines don't miscount!). :-)

I visit this board to read articles and stories that I might not see elsewhere and to read other's opinions, because I learn something new by looking at the issues from the other side. Just wonder if that's the case for some others here. I'm not here to "win" anything.

Thanks very much for your reply- I think your statement above sums it up best. ;-)
