Mrs. John Kerry -Is this true?

" To mention just a few, they support the "Barrio Warriors," a radical
Hispanic group whose primary goal is to return all of Arizona,
California, New Mexico and Texas to Mexico..." but read on, please!
Following is a brief backround on Mrs. John Kerry . She hates being
called that, by the way:
Maria Teresa Thiersten Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry. Married Senator
Kerry in 1995. She only took his name eighteen months ago and she is an
"interesting" paradox of conflicts.
If you thought John Kerry was scary, he doesn't hold a candle to
his wife! Maria Teresa Thiersten Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry was born in
Mozambique, the daughter of a Portuguese physician, was educated in
Switzerland and South Africa. Fluent in five languages, she was working
as a United Nations interpreter in Geneva in the mid-60's when she met a
"handsome" young American, H. John Heinz, III, who worked at a bank in
Geneva. He told her his family was "in the food business."
They were married in 1966 and returned to Pittsburgh where his
family ran the giant H. J. Heinz food company. He was elected to the US
House of Representatives in 1971, and in 1976 he was elected to the
first of three terms in the United States Senate. A Republican, he wrote
a burning diatribe against some of the causes backed by young House
member John Kerry.)
Several years later, in 1991, he was killed when his plane collided
with a Sun Oil Company helicopter over a Philadelphia suburb. The
senator, his pilot and copilot, and both of Sun's helicopter pilots were
killed. He was survived by his wife, Teresa, and their three young sons.
Four years later, having inherited Heinz's $500 million fortune,
she married Senator John Forbes Kerry, the liberal then-junior senator
from Massachusetts. She became a registered Democrat and the process of
her radicalization was set in motion.
Heinz Kerry is not shy about telling people that she required Kerry
to sign a prenuptial agreement before they were married. John Kerry may
not have check writing privileges on the Heinz catsup and pickle
fortune, but he is certainly a willing and uncomplaining beneficiary of it.
A lot of hard-earned money, made through many years of hawking
catsup, mustard, and pickles has fallen into the hands of two people who
despise successful entrepreneurship and who believe in the confiscatory
redistribution of wealth.
So how does Mrs. Heinz Kerry spend John Heinz's money?
Just one example:
According to the G2 Bulletin, an online intelligence newsletter of
WorldNetDaily, in the years between 1995-2001 she gave more than $4
million to an organization called the Tides Foundation. And what does
the Tides Foundation do with John Heinz's money?
They support numerous antiwar groups, including Ramsey Clark's
International Action Center. Clark has offered to defend Saddam Hussein
when he's tried.
They support the Democratic Justice Fund, a joint venture of the
Tides Foundation and billionaire hate-monger George Soros. The
Democratic Justice Fund seeks to ease restrictions on Muslim immigration
from "terrorist" states.
They support the Council for American-Islamic Relations, whose
leaders are known to have close ties to the terrorist group, Hamas.
They support the National Lawyers Guild, organized as a communist
front during the Cold War era. One of their attorneys, Lynne Stewart,
has been arrested for helping a client, Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman,
communicate with terror cells in Egypt. He is the convicted mastermind
of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
They support the "Barrio Warriors," a radical Hispanic group whose
primary goal is to return all of Arizona, California, New Mexico, and
Texas to Mexico.
These are but a few of the radical groups that benefit, through the
anonymity provided by the Tides Foundation, from the generosity of our
would-be first lady, the wealthy widow of Republican senator John Heinz,
and now the wife of the Democratic senator who aspires to be the 44th
President of the United States.
Aiding and supporting our enemies is not good for America,
regardless of your political views.
If voters will open their eyes, educate themselves and see the real
Teresa Heinz Kerry, they will not appreciate her position as ultra rich
fairy godmother of the radical left. They will not want to imagine her
laying her head on a pillow each night inches away from the President of
the United States.
Hopefully they love this country enough to decide that the only way
these two will ever be allowed into the White House is with an engraved
invitation in hand.
Instead of deleting this, pass it on. Let everyone know these
people may be unfit to represent this great nation. The uninformed will
never hear the truth from the press, who want Kerry elected!
Those who buy the Kerry facade, beware of what you vote for - - - you
may regret what you get!

I don't see that either. Hillary, yes! Teresa, no! I'm wondering what lies down the road, if Kerry doesn't win. The 2008 election could be even more interesting.
She is real and honost.
First ladies are always stepford wife like. Teresa is her own person and I like that.

Oh good -- one more reason to vote for Kerry! I love Clinton!

Oh, I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with this. An example of womanhood at its finest perhaps if this was 1954, but not now. I like to see a strong woman who can disagree with and challenge her husband. I don't think Mrs. Kerry should be in on the actual policymaking, but she certainly ought to be able to make her husband think!! I don't do my husband's work for him either, but we certainly hash issues out over the dinner table all the time. I ask for his opinion about how to handle a kid in my class or how to approach my administrator. Isn't that one of the best parts about being married -- to get that other person's opinion? Why would it be any different for the President and his wife? And I'd rather have someone with a brain in her head than just someone who demurely and blindly supports... And, in public -- why not?! I hear Bill & Hillary accused of and made fun of all the time for putting on a false front for the public. What do you (general you, not specific!) want?? Sickeningly sweet and fake or down-to-earth, honest, and real? Personally -- show me the real stuff. I think it takes guts to say to the world, yep, this is how we are.

Awww, don't take it out on the Heinz company employees! Besides, they're the ones who make green and purple ketchup! Who *wouldn't* want that on their burger? (Kidding!!)
Why Women Rule;
Women entrepreneurs may have significant impact on the 2004 election
Woman entrepreneurs are becoming prized swing voters in the 2004 election, reports
FORTUNE Small Business - and an exclusive FORTUNE Small Business/Zogby survey finds the
views of these influential women are sharply divided from those of their male counterparts.
These women represent about 5% of the voting-age population - more than all the registered voters in Florida and more than enough to select the next US President. For its July/August issue, on newsstands July 5, FORTUNE Small Business conducted a poll of female business owners from across the country to determine their positions on the 2004 presidential campaign. The findings include:
-- Female entrepreneurs favor John Kerry (50%) over George W. Bush (44%), while male entrepreneurs prefer Bush (60% - 33%), yet small majorities of woman entrepreneurs hold unfavorable views of both Bush (54%) and Kerry (53%).
-- Woman entrepreneurs are far more likely (35%) than men (27%) to say that business has gotten worse over the past three years.
-- For woman entrepreneurs, terror trumps taxes: 22% say the war on terrorism is one of the most important issues in the upcoming election; just 3% say taxes are.
-- Women entrepreneurs are more likely than their male counterparts to emphasize social issues, such as abortion, the environment, and health care.
-- Women entrepreneurs are far more likely (42%) to be Democrats than men, 44% of whom are Republican, but neither party commands majority support from small-business owners of either sex.
"Women business owners will wield significant clout in this November's presidential election," said FORTUNE Small Business editor Richard Murphy. "The candidate that appeals directly to this target group could gain a substantial edge." The FORTUNE Small Business/Zogby poll surveyed 766 male and 785 female business owners nationwide from May 10 to May 14. The margin of error is 3.7%.
In a related story, FORTUNE Small Business explores the "who" and "why" behind recent surveys that find women are starting more companies than men - and growing them faster.
In its feature "Why Women Rule," FORTUNE Small Business reports that:
-- The 2004 edition of the FSB 100 -- the magazine's ranking of the 100 fastest growing publicly-traded small companies-- includes 14 companies founded by women, or with women among the top four officers, up from six in 2003.
-- Women start 424 new enterprises every day, more than twice as many as men, according to a study by the Center for Women's Business Research.
-- Employment at woman-owned firms is up 24% over the last seven years, compared to 12% for private companies overall.
-- Revenues over the same seven-year period climbed at an average annual rate of 5.6% for women-owned companies, vs. 4.8% for all firms.
-- According to the report, women mainly start their own businesses to set their own schedules (46%.)
-- Another 23% say they started their own business out of frustration with the "glass ceiling" at a big company.

Kerry, Bush Court Votes of Female Business Owners
Run Date: 05/27/04
By Marianne Sullivan
WeNews correspondent
Both the Kerry and Bush campaigns are going after female business owners, a bloc that votes more, earns more and crosses party lines more often than other women.
(WOMENSENEWS)--More than 2,000 women dialed into a conference call last week to hear what Democratic Presidential hopeful John Kerry said he would do to help women who owned small businesses.
The call was part of the Presidential Conference Call Series organized by Women Impacting Public Policy, a bi-partisan public policy organization based in Oklahoma City that advocates for female business owners.
It was also part of an effort underway by the presidential campaigns of George W. Bush and John Kerry to court the vote of female small business owners, seen as a key swing vote in this election.
A nationwide, bipartisan survey of female business owners conducted for Women Impacting Public Policy and released in December 2003 indicated that female business owners don't fit a political profile, with 38 percent being independent or independent leaning; 30 percent Republican and 27 percent Democratic.
Female-Owned Businesses Growing Fast
Female-owned businesses are growing at twice the rate of all U.S. firms, according to the Center for Women's Business Research in Washington, D.C. There are about 10.6 million, privately held concerns--accounting for nearly half of all privately enterprises in the country--in which women own half or more of the assets.
In the 2000 presidential race, Bush received 43 percent of the female vote, while 54 percent of female voters opted for Democrat Al Gore. But while women as a whole traditionally favor Democrats, female entrepreneurs, as Women Impacting Public Policy's survey showed, are more politically diverse and don't always stick to a party.
Female small business owners are also active voters. The Women Impacting Public Policy's survey also indicated that over half have voted in every election in the past 10 years and nearly 9 in 10 voted in all of the most recent elections.
"Increasingly, as most of you on the phone know, women own an extraordinary number of small businesses and manage a huge amount if America's assets and people need to understand that better and recognize it," Kerry said on the call. The Democratic contender went on to tell listeners that he is committed to breaking down barriers and open new opportunities in the small business world.
Kerry has served on the Senate's Small Business Committee for nearly 20 years and changed the name to the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship to ensure that more forms of business gained access to government assistance.
"I want to make sure that we encourage entrepreneurial activity and facilitate women, minorities and creative people to be able to find the money, break into the system, get the technical assistance and provide the things that they deserve," Kerry said.
Stressing Access to Capital
Specifically with regard to women, Kerry added: "We have to make sure that we facilitate the access to capital; that we eliminate the glass ceiling and that we put more women into the top of government and corporate America. As president I have laid out a plan that will encourage a sensible tax code; promote small business-friendly policies that continue to increase access to capital. I think we can also open more doors to federal contracts. We have to make business training and counseling more available and most importantly we need to make health care more affordable for small businesses."
The Bush campaign said it will continue the policies, like tax relief and increased tax incentives, that the Bush Administration implemented to assist small businesses, including those owned by women. It is in the process of building a coalition to take this message to female small business owners, said campaign spokesperson Sharon Castillo.
"The agenda is one that empowers women," Castillo said, pointing to Bush's 6 Point Plan. That plan includes making healthcare costs more affordable and predictable and new incentives for small business investment.
Some women's groups also praise the Bush administration for the Women's Entrepreneurship Summits, run by the Department of Labor, that have given female small business owners information about access to capital, marketing, acquiring federal contracts and entering global markets.
Special Courtships
Both candidates are making special efforts to woo female voters. Kerry has organized Women for Kerry and last week, the Bush-Cheney campaign launched the Bush-Cheney '04 W Stands for Women leadership team. Both campaigns say they will create special teams to mobilize the support of female business owners.
At the end of the Kerry conference call, Barbara Kasoff, Women Impacting Public Policy's co-founder, told listeners to get out and vote and join the newly formed Businesswomen for Kerry.
When introducing Kerry at the beginning of the call, Betty Spence, executive director of New York-based the National Association of Female Executives, one of the host organization's coalition partners, threw her support to Kerry. "We would be thrilled to have this champion of women's small business in the White House."
Kerry sponsored women's business centers and helped women find money to start businesses during his tenure in the Senate.
"He has a plan for affordable healthcare for entrepreneurs and their employees and he will endure more government contracts for women," Spence said.
Informing Members
Women's business organizations are well aware of their power as a voting bloc and are making efforts to inform members about the ways in which these candidates can help female-owned businesses.
Women Entrepreneurs Inc., an Oakton, Va., nonprofit trade association is one of the many such groups.
"We are organizing a voter registration drive, and we are trying to help women business owners reach out to their work forces, because many women don't vote and aren't registered," said Karen Kerrigan, president of Women Entrepreneurs Inc. "We are also trying to build awareness about the importance of voting and the breakdown of the issues.">/P>
The first phase of the group's effort includes a grassroots message campaign that encourages female entrepreneurs to vote.
Another group, the National Association of Women Business Owners, recently joined a nationwide get-out-the-vote effort with the United States Chamber of Commerce. Through its new election Web site, members and their employees can navigate through the election process, from registering to learning about business-related issues to requesting absentee ballots for voters who can't make it to the polls on Election Day.

People with limited skills, limited education and lack of initiative to aquire either should not be rewarded.

This sentiment mirrors a couple of my favorite Bush quotes:
"Some would call you the elite, I call you my base."
"First, let me make it very clear, poor people aren't necessarily killers. Just because you happen to be not rich doesn't mean you're willing to kill."
I don't see Kerry as trying to be 'The man or party of the poor' - He believes what myself and 10's of millions of Americans do: Health care should be a RIGHT for our children, not a privledge.
Anyone who hates her is jealous of her charm, sofistication, and good looks. that is all.
--
You forgot one sentiment: If you don't like her, SHOVE IT!
I don't see that either. Hillary, yes! Teresa, no! I'm wondering what lies down the road, if Kerry doesn't win. The 2008 election could be even more interesting.
--
If Kerry doesn't win (Not happening, not against Bush) the Democratic party will be burned to the ground and finished for a long time, if not forever.
They're too united, raised too much money (will be more than Bush) and the country is poised for change at a level not seen since the Carter Administration.
