The only thing worthy of discussion about this is why people take things like this and Michael Moore movies seriously. If Dems want to pass this stuff around & giggle, fine, but really, they want DEBATE this?

Ok, true.

Don't know whether true or not, but hardly relevant either way.

bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock. >

Like many oil companies of its day, Bush's venture was hurt by falling oil prices, so he sold it to a larger company.

land using taxpayer money. >

Most baseball stadiums are funded at least partially with taxpayer money, it is considered an economic development investment in a region (albeit not always a very successful one, here in Pittsburgh it's been a big dud for the economy, but that could have more to do with the crippling tax burden driving other businesses and residents from the city, not sure.)

Texas.>

Right-his famous name helped him defeat the obscure, little known candidate Ann Richards, LOL.

I'll let whren's post speak to that-apparently the people of Texas were quite happy with his accomplishments as he was re-elected by a wide margin.

with the help of my brother Jeb and aid of Republican appointments to the

Supreme Court.>

There is no evidence that Jeb Bush had anything to do with the outcome of the election. The Supreme Court only decided that laws governing the outcome of elections could not be revised after the election was concluded-a perfectly correct and valid judgement. Despite the conspiracy theories however, numerous independant post-election recounts proved that Georg Bush won the state of Florida. As far as losing the popular vote, it was a statistical dead heat so we'll never truly know who won it and who lost it, but nevertheless we live in a republic where elections are not determined by the national popular vote, but where each state in the republic legally has a voice in electing the President.

Or, freed two countries from repressive, tyrannical regimes, neither of which will any longer be harboring, training, providing safe harbor or WMD capabilities to terrorists. Both countries will be holding democratic elections for the first time in their histories within a year (must be some kind of record, took something like 8 years for Germnay and Japan to be self governing after WWII.) Captured or killed 2/3 of the leadership of the world's most violent extremist terrorism organization, and currently hot on the trail of its head honcho.

record for biggest annual deficit in history. I set economic record for

most private bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period.

I set all-time record for biggest stock market drop in its history.>

I took a country which was already headed into recession when I took office, despite being in times of relative peace, which was then hit with the triple whammy of the burst of the dot.com bubble, 9/11 and fraudulent corporate accounting scandals which had been going on long before my term began, and I turned that recession around into one of the fastest rates of economic growth in history. I didn't "spend" the surplus, I gave people back the money the government had taken that it didn't need, but I was then faced with having to rebuild a military gutted by huge defense cuts (which helped my predecessor claim a "surplus"). Biggest annual deficit in history is not true when viewed as a percentage of GNP. You might blame the biggest stock market drop in history on OBL, not George Bush, coming as it did after the market was closed for 4 days due to the 9/11 tragedy. In fact most viewed it a major victory that it didn't drop more than that.

"Stocks drop 684 points, their biggest loss ever

Tuesday, September 18, 2001

SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER STAFF AND NEWS SERVICES

NEW YORK -- During an emotional, rocky trading day in the wake of last week's deadly terrorist attacks, the stock market yesterday suffered its largest loss in history, a fall of 684.81 points.

Airlines, insurance companies and investment companies were hit especially hard. And as the nation stiffens its warlike posture, defense contractors fared quite well.

The 7.1 percent drop came despite a half-point Federal Reserve rate cut and the announcement of dozens of corporate share repurchase programs.

But the majority of market watchers were surprisingly upbeat after the exchanges closed, calling it a victory that the system not only opened on time but operated without a hitch during what turned out to be the busiest trading day in history, with 4.5 billion shares trading hands.

The four-day closure of the market was the longest since the Great Depression."

The rest of the post is full of similar distortions, but again I can't spend my life researching and refuting each and every one of them. But to say that no one has responded because they "can't" respond, since these are all undisputed facts, is just plain silly.

How does he cheat the system? Provide factual examples please.

If I am not mistaken, he is the most powerful man in the world, so why do you think he still has to rely on his father for power?

I dont think he has bankrupt the country morally or financially. This country was already in a moral quandary before Bush was elected to office. The defecit is something that must be addressed, and if the employment rolls continue to grow, the defecit will begin to reduce.

What legal embarassments are you referring to?

What did he lie about to the American people, and where is your proof?

Great post!!!

You took a lot more time than I cared to on this topic because this resume has appeared at least 3 other times on this board over the course of the last two years.
