The Successes of President George Bush

Dear Reader,

I'm getting sick and tired of my fellow Americans

saying that the presidency of George W. Bush is a

failure. With the string of successes he's had,

nothing could be further from the truth. Let me list a

few:

1. He has successfully rid America of that troubling

budget surplus and turned it into a $500 billion

deficit.

2. He has successfully helped America's trading

partners have the highest trade surplus with us in

America's history.

3. He has successfully lowered the taxes for the

richest Americans and corporations at the expense of

99% of the American population.

4. He has successfully started another Viet Nam in

Iraq after lying to the whole world.

5. He has successfully pushed the price of gas up to

the highest level ever here in America.

6. He has successfully allowed American corporations

to dramatically increase their pollution.

7. He has successfully thrown about 10% of the

population out of work.

8. He has successfully allowed corporations to export

our best middle-class jobs.

9. He has successfully divided our country as never

before.

10. He has successfully driven our oldest allies away.

11. He has successfully united the terrorists as never

before (he said all along he was a uniter, not a

divider).

12. He has successfully broken his oath to uphold the

constitution of the United States of America.

13. He has successfully united Democrats (yay!) as

they haven't been for years (I told you he was a

uniter).

14. He has successfully driven me out of the

Republican party for the rest of my life.

You know, with a string of successes like that, it's a

wonder America is still standing.

Can't take credit for this post. It was an e-mail I received and no I've never been a Republican. I always said I've never been rich enough to vote Republican, but it seems some of their "base" is somehow coming from rural America. If I can find the article, there's one about Kentucky and the title is something like "Rural America going Conservative/Republican to their own Detriment".

Also, as I continue to register voters, it's not so uncommon to find Republicans changing parties, but I live in a Deomcratic state.

<< I always said I've never been rich enough to vote Republican, but it seems some of their "base" is somehow coming from rural America. >>

???????????????????? My family & our extended families are all Republican and none of us are exactly rich. E.g. My husband's grandfather was a sharecropper & his father a baker. My grandparents were raised on farms. My father helped build aircraft, my mother was a teller in a bank. This "if you're voting Republican, you must be rich" is utter nonsense. Our base is SOMEHOW coming from rural America???? I look forward to reading that article. Sounds humorous!

Number 15:

He spent 110 million over 4 months to discredit his opponent (While not mentioning his own record) and what did he get in return? His approval rating dropped 15 points.

So yes, number 15: Bush is the #1 asset to the Kerry Campaigns success.

It's truely amazing how little many libs, especially those from liberal enclaves, understand about what Republicans are all about.

How many is that? The small minority of people who use this forum? I remember what Republicans WERE about, before my party abandoned me.

Republicans, once the party of Lincoln now choose to be the party of Intolerance.

Republicans, once the party of small government, now the party of Big government.

Republicans, once the party of strong national defense, leaves our military stretched thinner and less ready now for another conflict, than in 2000

Republicans, once the party of FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY now spends more in the red than any other administration in history.

Republicans, once for personal privacy and less government intrustion into peoples lives, are now in it more than ever, especially IN THE BEDROOM.

A great man and the last great Republican once said: I didn't abandon the Democratic party, it abandoned me.

3 decades later, that saying's never been more true.

I'm not alone in this regard, another reason why Bush will lose and lose easily.

Go find people who voted Gore in 2000 that aren't going to vote for Kerry, and I'll show you a WMD Stockpile in Iraq.

If Frist,Cheney,Rumsfeld,Lott,Limbaugh and others are representative of the Republican party then I certainly don't want to understand or even know more about Republicans. There is no way I could be involved with a party where obvious racists and homophobes are looked up to as leaders.

As far as Republicans and wealth most Republicans that are not military are wealthy or above middle class. The active duty military people generally vote republican because of the strong military spiel(although this year I expect to see a drop in support for Bush among active duty family members if not the actual active duty member). The other group that are Republicans those that are extremely religious and feel the need to enforce their religion on others(those that are pro-life,etc).

What is a riot is that Bush had 4 years to "appeal" to African-Americans, but only is starting now 4 months before the next election to proclaim that "the Republican Party has got a lot of work to do" to gain the support of black voters and suggested that the Democratic Party is taking them for granted."

If he was really worried about it, don't you think he would have done somethign just a tad sooner? Just an opinion.
