Dear Reader,
I'm getting sick and tired of my fellow Americans
saying that the presidency of George W. Bush is a
failure. With the string of successes he's had,
nothing could be further from the truth. Let me list a
few:
1. He has successfully rid America of that troubling
budget surplus and turned it into a $500 billion
deficit.
2. He has successfully helped America's trading
partners have the highest trade surplus with us in
America's history.
3. He has successfully lowered the taxes for the
richest Americans and corporations at the expense of
99% of the American population.
4. He has successfully started another Viet Nam in
Iraq after lying to the whole world.
5. He has successfully pushed the price of gas up to
the highest level ever here in America.
6. He has successfully allowed American corporations
to dramatically increase their pollution.
7. He has successfully thrown about 10% of the
population out of work.
8. He has successfully allowed corporations to export
our best middle-class jobs.
9. He has successfully divided our country as never
before.
10. He has successfully driven our oldest allies away.
11. He has successfully united the terrorists as never
before (he said all along he was a uniter, not a
divider).
12. He has successfully broken his oath to uphold the
constitution of the United States of America.
13. He has successfully united Democrats (yay!) as
they haven't been for years (I told you he was a
uniter).
14. He has successfully driven me out of the
Republican party for the rest of my life.
You know, with a string of successes like that, it's a
wonder America is still standing.

He hasnt authored ANY legislation, which is my problem. A leader, especially someone with 20 years in the Senate, who is supposedly a caring person for the common man would have done something in 2 decades of service.
Not John Kerry though. He is just along for the ride it seems. I guess if Uncle Ted were not there to hold his hand, Kerry would have washed out of politics a long time ago.
With regards to your point that I discount information, what information has been provided for me on Kerry's achievements as a US Senator? So far I have a big blank spot, and I have been asking this question for over 3 months.
This is the question EVERY American should be asking. Who cares what happened when he returned from Vietnam. What did he do in 20 years in the Senate?
So far, the answer is nothing. He has not authored any legistlation, he has not co-authored any legislation. He co-sponsors bills, but that is as easy as signing onto a bill that is going before Congress. A monkey could do that.
How about some original thought from that coiffed head of his? So far...nada
Kerry played an important role in getting Big Tobacco to stop marketing ot teens and kids. He was influential in the Clean air act, the childrens health incurance program and the COPS program. are any of these things meaningful to you? or are you going to find a reason to keep asking this question? Because I can come up with a lot more, but I am sure you can come up with reasons that these are not actual accomplishments.
"Because the U.S. Constitution does not designate a public education role for the federal government, responsibility for K-12 education falls to the states. However, because there is a compelling federal interest in the quality of the nation's public schools, the federal government, through the legislative process, provides assistance to the states and schools in an effort to supplement, not supplant, state support. The primary source of federal K-12 support began in 1965 with the enactment of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).
ESEA authorizes grants for elementary and secondary school programs for children of low-income families; school library resources, textbooks, and other instructional materials for school children; supplemental education centers and services; strengthening state education agencies; and education research and research training.
The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) is a reauthorization of ESEA. The law's express purpose is to close the achievement gap through accountability, research- based instruction, flexibility and options for parents, so that no child is left behind."
Well if you are saying he voted to keep america energy dependent on arab oil, well yes... guess we'd agree... however I believe the question was more along the lines of what has Kerry lead... not just voted.... Kerry seems to have missed most votes, and when voting generally taken the party line... well except when supporting troops... where he votes against. He's also opposed to windmills in view of his Cape Cod mansion, don't want the view blemished ya know... so lets just say Kerry is hostile to clean energy alternatives in his backyard or in any backyard within view of his mansions.
But, no other president has changed this either, so I can't blame Bush, the educational system failed him too. They let the guy graduate college without any type of public speaking profiency test.
I often think about moving to europe where in many places, education is quite progressive. we are behind, and that is not Bush's fault, I am not sure whos fault that is.
