The Successes of President George Bush

Dear Reader,

I'm getting sick and tired of my fellow Americans

saying that the presidency of George W. Bush is a

failure. With the string of successes he's had,

nothing could be further from the truth. Let me list a

few:

1. He has successfully rid America of that troubling

budget surplus and turned it into a $500 billion

deficit.

2. He has successfully helped America's trading

partners have the highest trade surplus with us in

America's history.

3. He has successfully lowered the taxes for the

richest Americans and corporations at the expense of

99% of the American population.

4. He has successfully started another Viet Nam in

Iraq after lying to the whole world.

5. He has successfully pushed the price of gas up to

the highest level ever here in America.

6. He has successfully allowed American corporations

to dramatically increase their pollution.

7. He has successfully thrown about 10% of the

population out of work.

8. He has successfully allowed corporations to export

our best middle-class jobs.

9. He has successfully divided our country as never

before.

10. He has successfully driven our oldest allies away.

11. He has successfully united the terrorists as never

before (he said all along he was a uniter, not a

divider).

12. He has successfully broken his oath to uphold the

constitution of the United States of America.

13. He has successfully united Democrats (yay!) as

they haven't been for years (I told you he was a

uniter).

14. He has successfully driven me out of the

Republican party for the rest of my life.

You know, with a string of successes like that, it's a

wonder America is still standing.

Oh so what you're saying is that Sadam Hussein is just misunderstood? If we went to war with the wrong country, then what country should we have gone to war with, and YES, I would like to keep MY job!

Several men from Saudi Arabia attacked us, with the support of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. We took out the Taliban, & some of the Al Qaeda in retaliation for that. OK, the Taliban were bad guys. WTF does any of that have to do with Iraq?

In case you didn't notice, Iraq did not attack us. Iraq did not threaten to attack us. Individual Iraqi citizens did not attack us. Iraq did not have the military capability to attack us.

Did we allow this to happen because Americans just lump all these countries together? Because they all look alike to us?

If you are a religious person, what will you say when God asks you why you let your president do this? How can this slaughter of innocent Iraqi civilians (at last count about 13K or so) ever be morally justified?

You cannot justify it by saying we had to attack a country, any country will do, oh look, Saddam's a bad guy, lets attack Iraq.

Yes but it would be easier to live on that income when you are involved in the armed forces you get plenty of benefits don't you, options to live on base other things right? Does he get medical insurance coverage deducted from his pay? There is a reason that when you immigrate to this country the people in the armed forces only have to make 100% of what the poverty level is for the number of people in your household while the rest of us have to account for 125% of what the poverty level is.

I think that the issue that the left have with the right has more to do with the fact that the Republicans think that only they are entitled to be wealthy while the Democrats wish that everyone could do well and if they work hard enough are more than entitled to be wealthy.
