The Successes of President George Bush

Dear Reader,

I'm getting sick and tired of my fellow Americans

saying that the presidency of George W. Bush is a

failure. With the string of successes he's had,

nothing could be further from the truth. Let me list a

few:

1. He has successfully rid America of that troubling

budget surplus and turned it into a $500 billion

deficit.

2. He has successfully helped America's trading

partners have the highest trade surplus with us in

America's history.

3. He has successfully lowered the taxes for the

richest Americans and corporations at the expense of

99% of the American population.

4. He has successfully started another Viet Nam in

Iraq after lying to the whole world.

5. He has successfully pushed the price of gas up to

the highest level ever here in America.

6. He has successfully allowed American corporations

to dramatically increase their pollution.

7. He has successfully thrown about 10% of the

population out of work.

8. He has successfully allowed corporations to export

our best middle-class jobs.

9. He has successfully divided our country as never

before.

10. He has successfully driven our oldest allies away.

11. He has successfully united the terrorists as never

before (he said all along he was a uniter, not a

divider).

12. He has successfully broken his oath to uphold the

constitution of the United States of America.

13. He has successfully united Democrats (yay!) as

they haven't been for years (I told you he was a

uniter).

14. He has successfully driven me out of the

Republican party for the rest of my life.

You know, with a string of successes like that, it's a

wonder America is still standing.

One thing I have noticed is I never see commericals anymore with cig's or beer. I just realized that. Maybe I don't watch the right channels but I just haven't seen it. It's mostly cars or something else now days. Sorry if it's OT. Heh. XOXO.

I just wanted to say I too have never really been involved with politics before. I was always at least interested in what was going on but this year is the year I'm going to be able to vote and I'm actually excited. :) I'm for Kerry and am just reading everything I can about the two guys and catching some of the Rep convention. I missed the Dem one sadly. But I can't wait for the debate and then to be able to go vote. :) Just gotta go register first. XOXO.

In my town we used to be so filthy and dirty (I live in Chattanooga, TN) and now down-town we have these battery powered buses that take people around downtown and stuff. I think it'd be neat to someday have a car that could go without gas and save the gas for other stuff. XOXO.

In the very beginning I was for Bush but as time went on and now reading about things and watching the Rep convention I'm not for him anymore personally. XOXO.

I guess Michael Moore doesnt understand the definition of lying.

In his interview with Bill O'Reilly at the DNC, Moore would not back down from his position that Bush lied. It shows exactly how intellectually dishonest, and disingenuous he truly is.

The Republicans used to be much different until Ronald Reagon took over the helm in '80 and took up the mantle of the religious right. That is really where the Republicans veered off into a party I could no longer support, since one of the main things this country was built on by our "founding fathers" from England was separation of church and state.

I disagree with you. Clinton was the great divider of this country. He pitted the black community against the Republican Party by telling them they were entitled to benefits from the government and that all republicans were rich and democrats were poor blah blah blah. When Bush came into office he inherited an economy that was in decline and after 9/11 we needed to protect our country from further acts of terrorism. This drove the deficit up. Now if you want the terrorists to come back (there are over 5000 terrorists cells in America now) than you can say he is a divider. A divider between those who wish to defend our country or those who want the United Nations (which helped to fund the terrorists by stealing billions of dollars intended for food for Iraq) to tell us what to do. Maybe you need to go to Canada.

Well, if the great divide in America is to be the measuring stick by which we measure Bush's ability to get Republicans and Democrats to work together, it would seem perfectly clear to me, that he has failed miserably.
