The Successes of President George Bush

Dear Reader,

I'm getting sick and tired of my fellow Americans

saying that the presidency of George W. Bush is a

failure. With the string of successes he's had,

nothing could be further from the truth. Let me list a

few:

1. He has successfully rid America of that troubling

budget surplus and turned it into a $500 billion

deficit.

2. He has successfully helped America's trading

partners have the highest trade surplus with us in

America's history.

3. He has successfully lowered the taxes for the

richest Americans and corporations at the expense of

99% of the American population.

4. He has successfully started another Viet Nam in

Iraq after lying to the whole world.

5. He has successfully pushed the price of gas up to

the highest level ever here in America.

6. He has successfully allowed American corporations

to dramatically increase their pollution.

7. He has successfully thrown about 10% of the

population out of work.

8. He has successfully allowed corporations to export

our best middle-class jobs.

9. He has successfully divided our country as never

before.

10. He has successfully driven our oldest allies away.

11. He has successfully united the terrorists as never

before (he said all along he was a uniter, not a

divider).

12. He has successfully broken his oath to uphold the

constitution of the United States of America.

13. He has successfully united Democrats (yay!) as

they haven't been for years (I told you he was a

uniter).

14. He has successfully driven me out of the

Republican party for the rest of my life.

You know, with a string of successes like that, it's a

wonder America is still standing.

<<I didn't realize that "independent" was a party affiliation. I thought it meant that one was NOT affiliated with any particular party. >>

It's both, but usually when someone describes themselves as independent, they are using your meaning. The Independent Party is tiny.

Thanks for enlightening me. So, what does this tiny Independent Party stand for? Perhaps jennbos73 could elucidate further?

At least we know where our President stands!!!! John Kerry changes constantly. You dont know where he stands on any issue, he is subject to change and his record shows that over and over. Afghanastan will have an election in October, that would not have happened without us!!! People are free from Sadams torture!!!! I would count that as a success.

We have not had any major attacks on our homeland!!!! That is a success!!! Home ownership is up!!!!! What about the stock market at 10k and it hadnt been like that since the 80's.

Kerry has to ask for the UN's permission to protect our nation!!!! I don't think so!!!!

Our economy is getting better, and thanks to the tax cuts I saved so much money that i would have had to pay to the IRS. We are taking out terror groups and uniting with other countries to do so! This is not a communist country or Robin Hoods, steal from the rich and give to the poor!!! The wealthy pay the most taxes and let me tell you, when I am finally in that tax bracket I dont intend to give 70% of my income, because someone is sitting with their hand out, not willing to work as hard I me! That is not fair!!!!Unemployment is down and more jobs are being created! There are more entitlement programs to help the needy than before. It seems like nothing our president does has been good enough!!! I just dont understand that kind of thinking!! Osama Bin laden was offered to Clinton 3 times, and he did nothing. He cut defense!!!! You can't do that!! WE need a strong defense! I think the right decision will be made! That is my 2 cents worth.

But you wont change my opinion I more than likely won't change yours, so you have to decide for yourself.

I have been reading the messages tonight...I have to say I am married to a military man in the Air National Guard. What he sees in his job day to day and what he knows in his heart is that President Bush is the man who we need to be our Predident.

He has been overseas many times, one of the last out of Turkey before the war in Iraq started. Unless you live the life you will never understand what our Military sees and understands about why we are in Iraq. I don't understand but I really believe in my heart what President Bush is doing as our President is for the safty of all of us in America. My Husband also served 4 tours in Vietnam. He has 31 years in the Military. He could retire and not have to go anymore. He won't retire right now, 4 more years he says. I ask him why he will go again when he is called, (knowing he is leaving again) He answers, "I have to go with my men and look after them" "It is my job to do this"

I know I will be sad and worried again while he is gone, but I also walk around with a lot of American Pride in knowing that my Husband wants to serve and protect each and everyone of us.

I am so proud that I voted my vote 4 years ago for President Bush. My brother was right when he talked to me a few months before the election. "Who do you want to be your husbands boss" I had never thought of that before. Who would have known that 911 would happen in our UNITED STATES.

A important thought---Where do you think that Kerry is going to get the 40,000 more people he wants to add to the military. During his speach at the Democratic Convention? How on earth can he think that many people will want to enlist after his hatred for the military that he displays about Vietnam? He is going to get the draft going again, it is the only way he can do it. If you don't like war now your life will change if they take your son, daughter. He thinks he did so good by serving, not everyone in the world wants to be in the military. You get better people when they want to be in the military.

She planned a poetry reading at the White House & then cancelled it when she found out (gasp) poets are for peace! Thereby inspiring nationwide poetry reading against the war, & for peace.

< Just wondering: does anybody know what Laura has done since Bush has been in office? >
