Bush's Successes

Dear Reader,
I'm getting sick and tired of my fellow Americans
saying that the presidency of George W. Bush is a
failure. With the string of successes he's had,
nothing could be further from the truth. Let me list a
few:
1. He has successfully rid America of that troubling
budget surplus and turned it into a $500 billion
deficit.
2. He has successfully helped America's trading
partners have the highest trade surplus with us in
America's history.
3. He has successfully lowered the taxes for the
richest Americans and corporations at the expense of
99% of the American population.
4. He has successfully started another Viet Nam in
Iraq after lying to the whole world.
5. He has successfully pushed the price of gas up to
the highest level ever here in America.
6. He has successfully allowed American corporations
to dramatically increase their pollution.
7. He has successfully thrown about 10% of the
population out of work.
8. He has successfully allowed corporations to export
our best middle-class jobs.
9. He has successfully divided our country as never
before.
10. He has successfully driven our oldest allies away.
11. He has successfully united the terrorists as never
before (he said all along he was a uniter, not a
divider).
12. He has successfully broken his oath to uphold the
constitution of the United States of America.
13. He has successfully united Democrats (yay!) as
they haven't been for years (I told you he was a
uniter).
14. He has successfully driven me out of the
Republican party for the rest of my life.
You know, with a string of successes like that, it's a
wonder America is still standing.

do you know what it's like to have an unexpected, unwanted pregnancy at the age of 14 due to a brutal and horrifying gang rape?
I know for a fact that your taxes were not substantially decreased because my family makes similar wages and let me tell you, are taxes are pretty much the same and look what it is costing this country - THE DEFICIT!
As for the Second Amendment, I have no problem with someone owning a gun to hunt but the NRA takes it too far when they want people to be able to own assault weapons (designed for military purposes). Give me a good reason why you need one.
I have to guess that you are extremely religious and think we should all follow your God's rule. Well, if you remember there is supposed to be a clear separation of church and state. By the way, people don't choose to be gay, they just are. If we are supposed to be a "free" country, then let them live their lives and get the same rights as everyone else. In case you think I'm gay, I'm not.
As for investing your own money instead of Social Security, do you have a 401? I do and let me tell you, since Bush took office it has lost a substantial amount of money. I have a better suggestion. Let's put our Senators and Congressmen in the Social Security system instead of their "pension fund" (paid for by you and me) and watch how fast it gets fixed.
As for being passionate about education. Ask any teacher about the so-called "No Child Left Behind" and they will tell you that it is severely underfunded. A majority of the schools in my area have had to cut back on classes, teachers, and activities. Why? A lack of funds.
Before you think I dislike all Republicans, I don't. Jack Quinn is retiring and we truly hate to see him go. He was one of the few politicians who did what was best for his people. Not what was best for his party. Guess why he is retiring. Things have swung so far out that he can no longer work in congress. You either do what the Republican party wants or you're out.
And on a final note, as for Bush having integrity, what about the memos now coming to light showing that he failed to serve his military duty.
Anyone who has studied any of the activies that have gone on for the past 12 years will realize that Bill Clinton set many of these things into motion. Since he never really responded to any of the threats to our country, by letting terrorists get away with bombing the Twin Towers in NYC, by letting them get away with bombing the USS Cole, and numerous other terrorist actions, HE invited the bombing of the Towers, leaving George Bush to have to pick up the pieces. He had numerous other activies that set into motion many of the problems we now experience.
It was then, after the 9-11 attack, that the Democrats swore they would work in a non-partisan fashion, to keep this country safe, to unite us and help pull us together. They, in their usual manner, have been two-faced liars about what they have done, what they are doing, and what they will do.
Anyone who doesn't think that attack didn't have anything to do with the economy of this country, isn't paying attention - they have been listening only to mainstream ABC, CBS, and NBC media. My husband, along with many other people, lost his job at the airport. Air travel dropped dramatically after that attack. His job was directly related to the airlines, but there were others that lost, too, as a ripple effect. And that impacts the economy.
The list, so cleverly disguised at witicisms (NOT), is typical propoganda of a party that doesn't look to unite but to attempt to conquer those of this country that want to bring things together. You look to ignore any good, blow out of proportion the unfortunate, and have the sad dilusion of a Monday Morning coach.
>> “The Democrats NEVER considering the qualities of a person.”
“ANYONE who has studied ANY of the activies that have gone on for the past 12 years …”
“ANYONE who doesn't think that attack didn't have anything to do with the economy of this country, isn't paying attention “. <<
You also appear to be under the mistaken impression that the terrorists who bombed the WTC in 1993 got away.
>>Since he never really responded to any of the threats to our country, by letting terrorists get away with bombing the Twin Towers in NYC<<
"A federal appeals court has affirmed the convictions and sentence of Ramzi Yousef, who was found guilty of masterminding the first terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
Ramzi Yousef is serving a life plus 240-year sentence in the nation's highest-security prison in Florence, Colorado."

"The appeals court also upheld the convictions of Eyad Ismoil and Abdul Hakim Murad, who assisted Yousef."
