The Successes of President George Bush

Dear Reader,

I'm getting sick and tired of my fellow Americans

saying that the presidency of George W. Bush is a

failure. With the string of successes he's had,

nothing could be further from the truth. Let me list a

few:

1. He has successfully rid America of that troubling

budget surplus and turned it into a $500 billion

deficit.

2. He has successfully helped America's trading

partners have the highest trade surplus with us in

America's history.

3. He has successfully lowered the taxes for the

richest Americans and corporations at the expense of

99% of the American population.

4. He has successfully started another Viet Nam in

Iraq after lying to the whole world.

5. He has successfully pushed the price of gas up to

the highest level ever here in America.

6. He has successfully allowed American corporations

to dramatically increase their pollution.

7. He has successfully thrown about 10% of the

population out of work.

8. He has successfully allowed corporations to export

our best middle-class jobs.

9. He has successfully divided our country as never

before.

10. He has successfully driven our oldest allies away.

11. He has successfully united the terrorists as never

before (he said all along he was a uniter, not a

divider).

12. He has successfully broken his oath to uphold the

constitution of the United States of America.

13. He has successfully united Democrats (yay!) as

they haven't been for years (I told you he was a

uniter).

14. He has successfully driven me out of the

Republican party for the rest of my life.

You know, with a string of successes like that, it's a

wonder America is still standing.

Didn't include such "notables"! Thank you for the additions.

<> Especially, Soros, from what I've heard. ;-)

Speaking of the 'little people,' the soldier who caught Kerry's pitch last night was supposed to throw the first pitch of the game

Maybe Republicans like yourself should tell us what you are all about. Our problem with the Republicans in the Bush administration is that we know for sure what they are all about!

<< Our problem with the Republicans in the Bush administration is that we know for sure what they are all about! >>

I don't think so...

<< Maybe Republicans like yourself should tell us what you are all about. >>

This has been stated frequently by Republican posters, but many misconceptions continue to exist. Minds already made up? Anyway, I will recommend a book, "What Color is a Conservative?" by J.C. Watts. A fine man who would make a great president one day.

Conservative values I hold dear:

Being the party of tolerance.

Being the party of smaller/smarter government.

Being the party of fiscal responsibility.

Being the party of strong national defense. We're stretched thinner now and less ready now than in the 2000 election despite record spending, wtf?

Being the party of less intrusion into peoples lives.

I am also neutral on abortion (I would guess pro-life, but I am a man and would never know what it's like to deal with unwanted pregnancy), pro gun ownership/education, pro death penalty.

I'm very liberal on many social issues, but understand the notion of: Live and let live.

Nice to know (or maybe I just wasn't paying close enough attention...a lot on my mind lately). You sound like a person after my own heart in many ways. I'm pleasantly surprised! =)

<< I'm very liberal on many social issues, but understand the notion of: Live and let live. >> Sounds Libertarian. They have many good ideas.

Republicans in DC have done some straying from some of those ideals you've mentioned, eg. smaller gov't & fiscal responsibility but, believing in those same values, I can't vote the Democratic ticket. I'm sure some would say that's why I should. Also, the WOT is utmost on my mind & I don't see Kerry dealing with it effectively.

We park our cars in the same lot, just different sides of it :)

If and when President Kerry ticks me off, I'll be on the forums ranting about it and posting content on my own site about it.

President Kerry????? :-@ I'll run off & live in France...no...wait...no...not a good idea at this point in time (seems Alec Baldwin & Robert Altman thought about going there a few years ago if Bush won and only Pierre Salinger followed through). My teenage daughter will be disappointed though. She wants to see Paris, eat une glace and meet cute guys!
