The Successes of President George Bush

Dear Reader,

I'm getting sick and tired of my fellow Americans

saying that the presidency of George W. Bush is a

failure. With the string of successes he's had,

nothing could be further from the truth. Let me list a

few:

1. He has successfully rid America of that troubling

budget surplus and turned it into a $500 billion

deficit.

2. He has successfully helped America's trading

partners have the highest trade surplus with us in

America's history.

3. He has successfully lowered the taxes for the

richest Americans and corporations at the expense of

99% of the American population.

4. He has successfully started another Viet Nam in

Iraq after lying to the whole world.

5. He has successfully pushed the price of gas up to

the highest level ever here in America.

6. He has successfully allowed American corporations

to dramatically increase their pollution.

7. He has successfully thrown about 10% of the

population out of work.

8. He has successfully allowed corporations to export

our best middle-class jobs.

9. He has successfully divided our country as never

before.

10. He has successfully driven our oldest allies away.

11. He has successfully united the terrorists as never

before (he said all along he was a uniter, not a

divider).

12. He has successfully broken his oath to uphold the

constitution of the United States of America.

13. He has successfully united Democrats (yay!) as

they haven't been for years (I told you he was a

uniter).

14. He has successfully driven me out of the

Republican party for the rest of my life.

You know, with a string of successes like that, it's a

wonder America is still standing.

That sounds pretty "hatefull" to me. We just don't like the constant bashing we get for being "liberal" and viewing things a little different then you.

you said, "why do the liberals have so much hate in their hearts??? "

I am a liberal, and I would tell you I resent that statement, but you might misconstrue that as hate. A different opinion does not equal hate, though it is just as hard to understand as hate is for those of us who do not have it in our hearts.

You said also, "I have honestly seen that there is no way to talk any sense to an intolerant, biased, disillusioned, close-minded, flip flopping, ill informed bunch of liberals who have hate in their hearts. They Say they are liberal , but good greif they are among the most biased people and hating People I have ever seen :( I have NO desire to argue with any more idiots."

wow! who's the hater here??? Idiots? I think that is a pretty hateful word, but that is me, and I was brought up not to call people idiots. I have called people ignorant, but I work on that every day. Just because someone does not agree with me does not make them ignorant. In fact, it gives me a chance to learn more about them and me.

Spiritedtruthseeker, I disagree with you, But I love you anyway.

Let me just clear things up:

I am not saying that you need to respect Bush specifically. I am saying that our president, no matter who it is, Bush, Clinton, Kerry, or whoever deserves our respect. You don't have to even respect the person, just the President. This is America and I do appreciate everyone's rights to vote for and disagree with the president. I just feel that the man who is doing what he thinks is best for our country deserves respect.

I also want to say that anything "out there" that I may have said on my previous post should be disreguarded. I am pregnant and hormonal and sometimes say (or type) crazy stuff! :)

My opinions are the same, just keep in mind that I'm not as "witchy" as I may have came across!! :)

I just had to say to you, "GREAT POST"! I am also one of those "budgeting for show" Republicans. I make aproximately $30,000 per year and I am a single parent. Personally I would probably benefit (tax wise) if Kerry were to win this election. But the main reason that I pray he doesn't is because I believe that Bush is better for our Nation, for the Military families that serve our Nation and for the security of our families. I thank God that George W. Bush was our President at the time of 9-11. It terrifies me to think of what may have happened to our country had our Commander in Chief been a Democrat at the time of this great tradgedy. Bush made promises not only to the terrorist organizations behind this, but also to their allies. And thus far, he is keeping those promises. I applaud him for his courage under fire, so to speak.

The Republicans always build up the military funding and then the Democrats come in and take it away. I firmly believe that out of every wage paid in this country, our military should be of the highest. I voted for Bush in 2000 and will do so again in 2004.

Actually, if a Democrat (or anyone else who is not GW Bush) had been president, we probably could have avoided the whole tragedy of 9/11. He took so much vacation that August that he completely missed all the warnings and alerts that he should have taken into consideration. I'm so scared for this country and for this whole world with him being the leader of the US.

I was always taught that respect is earned, and it is a 2 way streat. President Bush has no respect for many of the views I hold as important, therefore I don't have to respect him, no mater who he is.

If I were still in the military I would be required to show a certain amount of respect for him/his position, but I'm not.

this is the kind of thing bush is a success at -- widening the income gap and squeezing out the middle class, with a good ol' yee haw grin on his face!

now here are people who have earned my respect (and a LOT of laughs from me too):

I think it's clear a whole lot of us don't know a whole lot about our party system, basically because the parties have not clearly defined themselves. I agree that THIS particular administration is practically an abberation...at least I hope so. The arrogance and "good ol'boy"ing that they demonstrate is not what past Republican leaders would approve of. I find it disturbing that it does seem that if one disagrees with our current policies, we somehow are unAmerican. Nothing is further from the truth. Allowing oneself to be led blindly without questioning is not the American way...in fact, it's dangerous. Anyway, maybe the two party system needs an overhaul, forcing each to clarify philosophies, values, and modes of operation. But is anybody reading this stuff besides us?
