The Successes of President George Bush

Dear Reader,

I'm getting sick and tired of my fellow Americans

saying that the presidency of George W. Bush is a

failure. With the string of successes he's had,

nothing could be further from the truth. Let me list a

few:

1. He has successfully rid America of that troubling

budget surplus and turned it into a $500 billion

deficit.

2. He has successfully helped America's trading

partners have the highest trade surplus with us in

America's history.

3. He has successfully lowered the taxes for the

richest Americans and corporations at the expense of

99% of the American population.

4. He has successfully started another Viet Nam in

Iraq after lying to the whole world.

5. He has successfully pushed the price of gas up to

the highest level ever here in America.

6. He has successfully allowed American corporations

to dramatically increase their pollution.

7. He has successfully thrown about 10% of the

population out of work.

8. He has successfully allowed corporations to export

our best middle-class jobs.

9. He has successfully divided our country as never

before.

10. He has successfully driven our oldest allies away.

11. He has successfully united the terrorists as never

before (he said all along he was a uniter, not a

divider).

12. He has successfully broken his oath to uphold the

constitution of the United States of America.

13. He has successfully united Democrats (yay!) as

they haven't been for years (I told you he was a

uniter).

14. He has successfully driven me out of the

Republican party for the rest of my life.

You know, with a string of successes like that, it's a

wonder America is still standing.

I will refer to him as President Munster, or when I'm in a good mood: The Big Herman.

LOL !! Looking forward to hearing him Thursday night (it'll re-enforce my decision to vote for Bush). Wonder if Edwards will outshine him tonight! The speeches last night overall were much better than Monday, especially Senator Obama's. He's dynamic!! Teresa Heinz Kerry disappointed me. More about herself & the American dream than about her husband. Not that she ignored him (hardly), but I thought there'd be much more. Ted Kennedy certainly didn't inpire much of anyone from what I could tell.

Then the Republican Convention...I happen to like Zell Miller. Seems many a Democrat feels he's a Republican in Democrat clothing.

Edwards probably will only because he has the one thing that Kerry is sorely lacking, and that is charisma.

Kerry is of the same mold as Al Gore....when he speaks he tends to drone on and on, and has no emotion in his voice or delivery.....very boring to watch and listen to.

“In general, conservatives are more generous with their charitable contributions than liberals, and it is the Republican Party who offers poor AA families better schools and neighborhoods for their children.”

How true, it might be getting close to the time to post a link to the generosity index again. The left is all for requiring people to pay for others expenses, but it is republicans that freely give to the benefit of others, not democrats. The reps just don’t like the idea of the government choosing who is worthy and who is not with our money, we can decide that for ourselves.

"He's our best choice for leading our war against terrorists. The terrorists hate Bush more than Kerry--that's reason enough right there to vote for Bush."

did you talk to the terorists, yourself and they told you that? or were you attending a "terrorists for Kerry" convention? LOL

"our income is $45,000 a year for a family of five). I want our tax cuts to be permanent. I have no doubt they will go up if Kerry is elected. Small businesses in our city are growing and hiring thanks for President Bush's tax cuts."

you tax "cuts" are most likely comparable to mine, you may have gotten the child tax credit, when my tax guy was raving about it, and told me to thank president Bush for my eight hundred dollars, I told him, "yeah, that will come in real handy when he puts me out of a job too!" you see, I work in social services. Bush does not believe in human services.

and I would like to know what town you are in where local businesses are thriving!

I agree with you on the gun thing, but I do think something needs to be done about gun crime, and Bush's plan is to "give 'em enough rope" which is inhumane and supports the theory that Bush would like "undesireables" to kill themselves off.

I am glad you are pro life, so am I. so what do you think Bush is going to do about abortion? what has he done in the last four years? nothing.

why not gay unions? if you are not gay, how can it possibly hurt anything?

"If Kerry would be elected, he would appoint very liberal judges to the Supreme Court (this is what I think Hillary is really after) and other courts."

Maybe, but maybe not. and so what? I think Hillary would be great.

"President Bush is passionate about teachers and education"

not half as passionate as he is about oil and MONEY!!!!

"He's a decent man who enjoys hard work and knows what it is, his

faith in God is sincere,"

If this is true, then how can he be allowing Iraqi children to die under the guise of anti-terrorism? what, GOd only loves America?

what would Jesus do?

DOn't you think that if he really had faith in GOd that he would do all in his power to avoid suffering over there? would there have been a war? Or is GOd only a good thing to have for practical purposes, but when it is war time, Jesus' teachings of peace and love adn forgivenss a re all just out the window. Ok. I can see that God is real important to you.

WHat do you mean by hollyweird types?

seems that in your book being a democrat alone is enough to make you "weird"

But it also sounds like a real boring book, and I am glad I am not required to read it.

Excellent post, Renee! One thing I have learned over my 15 or so years of following politics (11 as a registered voter) is that the vast majority of Democrats (no, not all)favor sucking the life out of the very people who create over 90% of the jobs in America:the so-called "wealthy." Without the wealthy tens of millions more Americans would be unemployed. What is so wrong with being wealthy? I would rather have money than not?

I could barely contain my frustration while listening to Edwards' and Kerry's plan to create millions of jobs while raising both the minimum wage (noble idea, but destined to cost jobs as labor costs rise) and income taxes on the so-called rich-those who create most of the jobs (yes, removing a tax cut is the same as raising taxes). He even mentioned a popular buzz-phrase, "corporate welfare" and promised to close corporate tax loopholes. I cannot see why corporations should ever have to pay taxes. Corporations are owned by their stockholders. When we sell stock, we pay tax on the profits. To tax the corporations on top of that is just double-taxation: legal, but wrong. Bush is not perfect. Nobody is. But, IMHO, he currently has a better grasp of the world economy in which we live. For that and many other reasons I will proudly cast my vote for Bush/Cheney.

Hi, Miffy. Thanks for the welcome back. I have posted here and on a few other boards a few times. I have been mostly a lurker. But, when I found this board I had to jump in. I have posted a handful of times on this board. I can never resist a good debate-as long as it doesn't get personal.
