I wonder how many of you have had to live without health insurance? You say that health care is not a right? NO WONDER! You have always had a place for the bills to go other then your mailbox! How many of you have ever asked what the actual cost of your prescriptions are? Do the math! Do you have any idea what it is like to call around from doctor to doctor trying to find one who would see you WITHOUT insurance? Have you ever stood at your doctor office and humbly asked for samples instead of a prescription because u know that your $360 check wont stretch enough to cover your $280 med bill AND the doctor appt. Don't even mention medicaid! If you make enough money to buy food and scrape by...you do not qualify.

Go ahead and be technical but if you ever run into some bad luck you will see things in an entirely different light!

How is this a big business by the way? They are one store and not a chain like CVS or Walgreens.

"The Texas Pharmacy Association and the American Pharmacists Association said they haven't heard of another pharmacy with a similar program." from the article, so really I doubt anyone else has ever done this.

Sounded like a bigger business to me than it is. But it's still good to hear. Hope their generosity catches on. I like hearing of people/businesses doing things out of the kindness of their hearts rather than the gov't telling them what to do.

<<Many on this board however will find something wrong with this considering they are against everyone being treated under healthcare, or they may not agree with hospitals seeing patients without insurance or money.... >>

I can't imagine why you'd believe anyone on this board would find fault with this pharmacy. It's because we have generous people and businesses like this

No American would accept that! What is not being recognized is that the medical needs are of peole without insurance are being met. Hospitals are not permitted to turn away anyone in immediate need. There are also

May you receive many blessings from this act of kindness.

I can't beleive when I hear how some just want to kill all people suspected to be al-quaida. I can't beleive when I hear how some people think by letting a group of people starve it is called right. I can't beleive when I hear I am forced to be like a mummy or being oppressed becuase of my religion. I can't beleive it when I hear that becuase I do not agree with someone I am wrong.

Sorry, but when ever anything good is being said, there are many here who find the wrong in it. Just call it experienced poster.

I think that the rest of the world has just cause to dislike, (even loathe, especially if an individual works in the tourism industry) Americans. It seems to me that we are less able to talk about our own government than anyone from anywhere. we seem to be quite oblivious and unconcerned, but kind of like frat boys when it comes down to passion about our way of life. Most people can only site "FREEDOM" when I ask them what makes us better. then they usually belch or pass out. LOL.

My knowledge is not vast, but I try to be aware, as a nation, about how we appear to others. I do think Americans are mostly wonderful people who love this country, but we are so busy working and running and so immersed in REALITY TV and the media that we rarely bother to learn about our politics. I am glad here, that even when I totally disagree with someone that that person and myself are not sitting at work feeling distracted all day because somebody is getting booted off SURVIVOR tonight.... At least we are worrying about things that really matter.

-no offense to anyone that was on survivor-
