"Free" health care!

I wonder how many of you have had to live without health insurance? You say that health care is not a right? NO WONDER! You have always had a place for the bills to go other then your mailbox! How many of you have ever asked what the actual cost of your prescriptions are? Do the math! Do you have any idea what it is like to call around from doctor to doctor trying to find one who would see you WITHOUT insurance? Have you ever stood at your doctor office and humbly asked for samples instead of a prescription because u know that your $360 check wont stretch enough to cover your $280 med bill AND the doctor appt. Don't even mention medicaid! If you make enough money to buy food and scrape by...you do not qualify.
Go ahead and be technical but if you ever run into some bad luck you will see things in an entirely different light!

One would think.
However, you won't get any peace-niks to put their lives on the line for free healthcare--too high a price. They do like having others put their lives on the line so they can whine about it, though.
You know what they say about the majority of the military, police and firefighters...they are the BEST of the BEST. Thank God for them! (and your hubby :))
Give it to the American people, it's bringing them socialism.>>
Liberal doctrine on health insurance. Screw the productive workers and redistribute the wealth. It has worked quite well in every communist country the world over, the liberals say so therefore it must be truth.
There is nothing wrong with that. However, most doctors have to agree to defer a sizable portion of their fees and DON'T collect anywhere near the amount of what treatment costs. Pretty soon one will see a dearth in healthcare professionals.
Isn't that the bottom line regarding these calls for socialized healthcare? If they want government subsidized healthcare, there's always the military. Oh...wait...I forgot! The price of their lives is too steep. They'd rather have doctors and other specialists give away their services from the goodness of their hearts. What does it matter that these specialists have accumulated loans to develop a highly specialized skill, investing their time and effort, honing their talents? They don't deserve the reward for all their hard work.
And her hubby's life and others in the military are ensuring that we live in a safe society so we can pay taxes to our bloated government.

LOL... I would agree here, but my neighbors, Brian and Linda (Linda is a Major in the Air Force) are Liberal Democrats from Vermont and New York (of course ;) ), they are totally for the environment, hardly ever eat meat because of their views on animal cruelty, wanted Howard Dean to be the Democratic Presidential Candidate (not just because he was from Vermont), and consider themselves among the "peace-niks".
