This thread is dedicated to Moderate Centrists, Independent voters,  third party enthusiasts, Libertarians, Greens, and even Communists - in other words anybody who is not a Republican or a Democrat.

I bet you a cookie this thread gets hardly a friendly response!  Prove me wrong!

I can say I am more democrat than republican, but I do agree with things the Republican party does. I never vote a straight ticket becuase each person is independent regardless of what their party is. Some republicans do not like Bush as some democrats do not like Kerry. I never understood anyone who can vote straight down either democrat or republican, vote for a person not a party.

In any case, WELCOME BACK ELAINE!!!!

Hi Elaine!

Sorry for breaking the rules of your thread since I'm clearly democrat. I just wanted to welcome you back to the board once I noticed that you started the thread. Take care!

I'm an independent voter who is a staunch conservative. I've voted Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, independent as long as their views are similar to mine. There. Was that friendly enough? :)

You use your intellect to choose who to vote for, which is how it should be.

Hmmn, what kind of cookie? ;-)

I'm an Independent, who has never voted a straight ticket in over a quarter century of voting. Issues are most important to me, but I am not a single-issue voter.

My voting is more Republican on the local level, because I live in an area that is predominately Republican and that party is more effectively involved in local issues.
