Bush campaign obsessed with Kerry

Have a look at the two websites.  The first thing you see on the Bush site is a big picture of Kerry and the lead story about Kerry’s “makeover”, and links to lots of Kerry bashing.  I get the feeling that Bush wants to distract from his lack of ideas.

Look at the Kerry website and there is not a word about Bush, only what Kerry plans to do for the country.

I may not like Kerry very much, and I may wish that the Dems had chosen a better candidate, but at least he's not directly engaging in smear tactics, and at least his website gives information on exactly what it is he aims to do.

I'm glad that Kerry has taken the high road.

As far as the war goes, if we don't take a look at what's going on with the environment, we won't have any more wars to fight. No more country to defend. So many other issues that I will get to later.

well, I will tell you why I have been bashing GWBushInc.

Bush is a crappy president who is jacking stuff up all over the place. He got us into a war that was not necessary

he went against the United Nations

Beause of him, and his desire to open The middle east as his personal Oil empire, many innocent people are dead

innocent children are dead.

Mothers have held thier dying child and they did nothing.

People like that, so selfish, so greedy, so ruthless... they go to hell.

and MY bashing has had nothing to do with Kerry.

Kerry is a new factor to my hatred of Bush. I like him. He is not like Bush. He is not interested in oil for profit.

There was Bush bashing way back when he stole the election of 2000.

even before that.

But did the democratic party make his cocaine use public? like the Republicans did over Clintons pot smoking in college? HOw about Bush's drunk driving? I mean, there are records of his arrests, he cannot deny those things, and does not.

SO, which Party does the mud slinging?

It is meant to take away the incentive for outsourcing.

the incentive.

meaning, they wont get a tax break, or monetary encouragement to do it any more.

Bush on the other hand is illegally using churches to get his message out.

That's basically, what I was saying (I agreed there was a lot on Kerry on Bush's website, but it also had Bush's stands on issues) If you click on the box about Bush & Cheney on Kerry's website more is said about them than you claim. In fact, you stated before that there was no mention of Bush on Kerry's website.

Others have stated it very well. There is a reason for the difference in ads and there is and has been Bush-bashing from every corner of the Democrat Party. In Kerry's speech last night, he talked about Bush, directly or strongly implied, in a negative light. Plenty of Bush-bashing spread out among a lot of other's speeches at the DNC. It's an election year, why wouldn't any candidate try giving reasons not to vote for the other guy(s) and give reasons to vote for them instead (although I feel the Democratic arguments are fallacious & I think many Democrats are more interested in gaining power than loving Kerry as a candidate, but that's my opinion).

Full text of Kerry's speech: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A26138-2004Jul29.html

AP notes large gap in speech: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=694&e=11&u=/ap/cvn_kerry_fact_check

Do you learn about his record from him? From his opponents? From neutral sources? If you learn about it from the Republican party and it's talking heads, you get a first grade view of the record, catchy phrases that get stuck in one's head. And from Kerry, things might be missing. I'd prefer neutral sources, or sources that try to get it right.

>>The Republicans haven't had the opportunity to bash every plan of Kerry's through the media, and during movie and music awards.<<

Talk radio: all bashing of Democrats, any Democrat... all the time.

>>Kerry would have us believing that his views are moderate. He is anything but moderate, I for one am glad that such information is out.<<

Bill Clinton and George Sr. would be moderates. Kerry is more to the left of center, GWB is farther to the right than Kerry is to the left.

Are you serious? Here there have been very hostile, hateful, full-of-anger ads against President Bush for months!

--

OK, put up: Which Kerry/Edwards ads are you talking about?

Maybe you're referring to the 527 PACs like Moveon and their Anti-Bush ads? Those voices are the voices of the American People, not the DNC, not The Kerry/Edwards Campaign.

I live in a swing state and I've seen them all: From Bush, From Kerry, From PACs
