Bush campaign obsessed with Kerry

Have a look at the two websites.  The first thing you see on the Bush site is a big picture of Kerry and the lead story about Kerry’s “makeover”, and links to lots of Kerry bashing.  I get the feeling that Bush wants to distract from his lack of ideas.

Look at the Kerry website and there is not a word about Bush, only what Kerry plans to do for the country.

I may not like Kerry very much, and I may wish that the Dems had chosen a better candidate, but at least he's not directly engaging in smear tactics, and at least his website gives information on exactly what it is he aims to do.

Hussein violated the cease fire agreement, which basically gave the US the authority to go in under the UN resolutions.

Also, the Congress gave the President the authority to go in.

Finally, it seems you expect President Bush to have all of the answers, without having adequate intelligence to go on. If you research this you will see that during the Clinton administration, the human intelligence capabilities of the CIA were reduced by over 70%, especially after John Deutch convinced President Clinton that the CIA could rely on electronic intelligence, and did not need the human assets on the ground (boy was he wrong.) Compound that error with the Torricelli principle which basically told the CIA that they could no longer pay "undesireable" people for intelligence information (another mistake) and you have a very ineffectual intelligence gathering agency.

Please go back and read the speech that John Kerry gave to the Senate before the vote to use force in Iraq. He seemed more adamant about going into Iraq than the President at the time. (I dont want to post it here as the text is verrrry long)

Here is a link:

Very compelling speech. With regards to your assertion about Rice and Rumsfeld saying Hussein was well contained, I guess Kerry and other prominent congresspeople felt differently.

I got that too, but again when you read the article, it does go into depth on how outsourcing actually helps the economic growth in this country....(I wish I had the article in front of me to refresh my memory), but then you think, wait...outsourcing is sending jobs out of the country, so how is that good.

It is pretty confusing unless you sit and really read into it. I dont know if I fully agree with the idea however.

You're comparing poor, in some cases pennyless, black churches with Falwell's empire?

<<"I don't care that you support Bush, I don't care that you make effort after effort to discredit John Kerry, but as a Communittee leader on these forums, you should make some sort of effort to not post the kind of rhetoric that mirrors Sean Hannity or Al Franken and set a higher example of constructive political debate, or drop the CL tag. Let the NON-Cl's post their partisan poison.">>.......

It is pointless to argue about UN resolutions when one does not acknowledge the authority from which they're made.

Why don't you read Kerry's letter to Bush 5 days before Bush's invasion.

Please, stop saying the US had UN authority to enter Iraq. There isn't one resolution out there that says the words 'Military Force' used to enforce any resolutions aimed towards the The Government of Iraq.

Your IRRELEVANT United Nations would not allow it, that's why the wording 'Serious Consequences' was used, 1441 would never have passed otherwise.

But until you can acknowledge and respect (Because dude, THEY WERE RIGHT!) the Authority of The UN, there's just no claim or argument to be made. Had Bush put it to a vote, I might feel differently.

But, he FLIP FLOPPED there too.
