Fox News, Outfoxed and Liberals

Ok, I'm not sure I understand the nature of all the criticism Fox News gets from THE LIBERAL side of the fence.

I have Directv, I watch 4 news channels regularly (CNN,MSNBC,FOXNEWS,Headline News) but watch CNN the most.

It's been said that Fox is unfair and unbalanced but I do not see this. While some of their SHOWS are very right leaning (Hannity, O'reilly, North), the ACTUAL News that's reported Ihave never considered to be: Unfair or Unbalanced.

Thoughts?

I know that the factor gear thing is a bit over the top, but if the money is mostly going to charity, I dont mind it as much.

O'Reilly can be a little more free since he is not on network TV. Russert is just a more even keeled type of guy anyway. I guess he got that from his father.

He is balanced out by Alan Colmes who can spin with the best of them

I used to like to watch the show during the 2000 election and during the recount, but then it began to go downhill quickly.

I rarely watch unless they are going to have a good guest on.

I would consider O'Reilly to be pretty fair and balanced.

Hannity & Colmes to me is the type of show that panders to the extremes in both parties....leaving out those in the middle for the most part....at least over the past year or so. I dont watch much any longer. It got tiresome.

<<But there are plenty of people duped into thinking this is "news" >>

They aren't being duped; they are being ignorant, just like the people who think Michael Moore's documentaries are factual and present 'the truth.'

Did you even see the movie. Faux News and Foes (Fox & Friends) is neither fair or balanced. Today, they interviewed one of the "Vietnam Veterans for Truth" about their ads calling Kerry a liar! Did they even think to interview someone from Kerry's Band of Brothers? Nope! Even John McCain has critized this advertisement as unfair and unjustified! Everyone knows that The Shrub and his merry gang of liars will do anything get elected in 2004. Teresa Heinz Kerry is correct that 4 years of Bush will be 4 more years of hell!

Hey, I do appricate the latest NEWS from Fox News:

Bush approval rating: 44, satisfaction with the country even less, Kerry's approval rating at 57

One day they'll stop running their mouths and start running the country... Well, there's less than 90 days left so forget that idea.... Let the slime fly!

I think the bias is subtle as with the so called liberal medias too. It is the type of news they show. e.g pics of Bush campaign will be shown more than Kerry campaign and on the liberal media it is opposite. The content by itself is not faulty just what they choose to show. But as I said very subtle..
