Destroy All Religion

Here is my proposal. I find that weak people often turn to religion to 'ask' their God for things like daily bread or healthcare problems. So if government provides us all with free healthcare, free food and everything else free than people will realize that it is government that solves their problems, not some stupid god like Jesus Christ that never answers their troubles. Thus as government grows, religion contracts, look around the world and see that more government societies have less religion.
This is why I urge you all to vote for John Kerry, he will make things more free like free universal healthcare and free college education. His proposals are a good step in my opinion in ridding the world of all religion and faith, as like I just said people will look to government more for answers.
We all know religion is the root of all problems in this country, join me and vote Democrat so we can all move to a better world of no religion.

Ok, how much does it cost to cross your bridge?
You don't come to me or my children with it.
You keep it out of public schools.
I basically feel that spirituality is a deeply PERSONAL thing for every individual who practices it.
And really, it's NONE of my business so long as it stays OUT of my business.
My first impression of your post was that it was pure troll-bred flamebait.
Well said go_left... when people try to make someone else's personal beliefs their business, that's where the problems all start.
"Without music, life is a journey through the desert"...
By not depending on government and depending on religion instead, they weaken government for us all.
So, all religion must be wiped out and the best way to do it is push as much government dependance as possible. Government healthcare is a great start, together in growing government through it's natural nurturer of the Democratic Party we can all make a world of no religion and no hardship by having government that actually does anything for people....answering all real prayers instead of none as religion does.
I myself am a disbeliever in organized religion, I think it is an instigater of the masses.
However, I think that spiritual belief beyond organized religion is necessary as is praying or connecting with a higher being whether it be God, Allah, Buddah, whatever. Because remember it is essentially those who denounce a higher being and replace that being with their own image that get us into the messes in which we are (i,e. arrogant republicans).
Just a thought,

No it's not and that is just as dangerous. Spiritual belief is ficitious as there is no higher being right? So falsely looking to some fictitious higher being means not looking to government, which weakens the growth of government.
If we are to become a great society where government covers us all with safety and funding from cradle to grave, then we need everyone on board to push for that government growth and they will push as hard if they have other places to look.

The Muslims, Buddists, Christians, & Jews have never been the problem with communism; communism is the problem with communism.

"In believing that religion will solve their problems, they will not believe that it is government that can solve their problems."
This isn't and shouldn't be a nanny-state. It is not the job of government to solve all our problems.
"By not depending on government and depending on religion instead, they weaken government for us all."
By it's very nature, our government is intended to be a limited government, with clearly delineated powers and authority found in the Constitution.
"So, all religion must be wiped out and the best way to do it is push as much government dependance as possible."
I'm forced to conclude that there are two possible reasons for this statement... either you're a troll, simply out to provoke responses from people with religious convictions; or you're merely making a tongue-in-cheek joke. I can't tell for certain which it is. But that statement doesn't warrant serious response in either event.
