Destroy All Religion

I believe the problem with the world and especially the US is the presence of religion. All religion does is promote hate, greed and get the Republican Party reelected. So I think we can all agree that we must get rid of all religion, especially the worst one of Christianity, but the question is how?

Here is my proposal. I find that weak people often turn to religion to 'ask' their God for things like daily bread or healthcare problems. So if government provides us all with free healthcare, free food and everything else free than people will realize that it is government that solves their problems, not some stupid god like Jesus Christ that never answers their troubles. Thus as government grows, religion contracts, look around the world and see that more government societies have less religion.

This is why I urge you all to vote for John Kerry, he will make things more free like free universal healthcare and free college education. His proposals are a good step in my opinion in ridding the world of all religion and faith, as like I just said people will look to government more for answers.

We all know religion is the root of all problems in this country, join me and vote Democrat so we can all move to a better world of no religion.

Well noreligion,

I am a Democrat and I am a Christian. John Kerry is Catholic, which is Christian. So are you implying that Kerry's beliefs are wrong, simple or stupid? If you are voting for Kerry, you are voting for a Christian. Why criticize the beliefs of others?

There is no free healthcare, there is no free college... there are various methods of financing these, no method is free.

If you do not know the strength of those with faith, your loss is great. The strongest individuals you will ever meet have great faith :-) Weakness is the self indulgance of secular humanism :-o

Well too bad for all you neocons, because when Kerry gets in and the Democrats retake the house,

--

Eh, you're close.

Kerry will win the Whitehouse sure, but you can forget about Democrats taking a majority in the house, they'll be lucky just to even close the gap a little, but all signs pointing to it widening in the house.

What I was trying to say is that when someone does not recognize a higher being, they tend to start playing God because they align themselves with a higher being.

I think you and I both know that that would not be beneficial to anyone, if any of our beloved bureaucrats got that much more arrogant.

"we will have more government healthcare, free college education and more government daycare. Dependance on government is a good thing, unlike religion, because government will really take care of us all and cares for us with real observable action"

What makes you think that Kerry can do something that Clinton tried and couldn't do? This country has tried 3 times in history to make free healthcare in this country and all three times it failed!

And how does Kerry intend on giving free college education to everyone, because I'd really like to know since I'm unable to get any financial aid at all because according to the FAFSA people, my husband and I should be able to contribute $50,000 a year to my college education even though we only make 65,000 a year.

And as far as religion, I'd rather churches take care of those down on their luck rather than my tax money! Call me selfish, but I really don't see why my taxes should fund programs for people who have no self control and keep popping out babies and keeping themselves on welfare.

I am a Christian, but I'm not going to debate the fundamentals of religion. I will say however this country was founded, literally and figuratively by people who had a deep faith in a God or Creator. This country has already gotten rid of prayer in school, taken God out of the pledge of allegiance, taken the 10 commandments off many buildings, prohibited displays of faith in public arenas, and are we any better off? I think not!

I'm a Reaganist. Cut welfare reform and bring on privatization!!!!

Yup, that’s pretty much my take as well. I don’t put all lefties into this category, but I do see some on the left very much like this. They believe in government based upon faith and little else. Well, IMO faith-based ideologies are a form of religion.

Go Kerry!"

First of all, I really hope this is a joke. Dependence on government is a good thing? Sure, if you like living in a shack and starving to death. Seriously, why do you think thousands of people risk their lives yearly to come to America on a raft. It's not for McDonalds fries, although they are yummy. It is to escape the oppression of socialism and communism, where nobody but the government owns anything and there is no incentive to work and, therefore, no incentive or way to improve one's plight because the government is supplying the critical means of existence.

All great societies embrace capitalism because it encourages hard work and the building of wealth and, in doing so, improves the standard of living for the society as a whole. Communism and socialism, essentially, encourage people to sit on their butts and do nothing. Government will supposedly take care of them. This makes zero sense and it has failed every time it has been tried.

Finally, there is no way the Democrats will take control of the White House and Congress. The Republicans simply have too big a lead in Congress. I doubt Kerry will even win the election. He seems to have gained no ground on Bush, despite everything that America has been through (much of which was inherited from Clinton) and the Republican convention and the debates are yet to come. Once people realize that Kerry's plan for America boils down to a job-killing tax increase (he's voted for them 350 times and promised them in his convention speech) and somehow getting France, Germany and Russia to help in Iraq and Afghanistan. Of course, how he will do the latter is top secret. He can't reveal it at this time. LOL
