Sondra is going to Iraq!

I just have one thing on my mind... I am going to Iraq in a few weeks. I have accepted a position within KBR(Halliburton) in their human resource department that is located in Iraq. I have to fly down to Houston, they wanted me this Monday, but I have to much to do before then, so they allowed me to fly their on Aug. 16. From Houston, I will be flown into Iraq. This is something that I thought about long and hard, but I feel I have made the right decision for me.
Anyway, for some reason I just thought I should tell everyone. While I am scared, I am more thrilled and excited to worry about the risks. Wish me luck!!

I was worried about you for a minute there but now I want to go too.
I'll leave a light on.
I'm glad you have a friend already there. Even if you're not in the same camp, you can comiserate w/ each other. Don't sell yourself short. Every job there is important and I know that as great as the pay is, it's not anyone's sole reason for accepting a position in Iraq. In my book, everyone who is going over there to work, whether they are providing humanitarian aid, rebuilding the infrastructure, protecting officials, driving a truck, or shuffling paperwork
