Looks like Kerry's band of brothers, the wonderful picture he has presented repeatedly to the world has contracted yet again... first he lost 90% going from a band of 22 brothers down to 2... now Ralph Dobson one of the 2 remaining Kerry supporters has announced he considers Kerry unfit for command... the band of brothers is now down to 1 a 50% loss from yesterday.... Kerry has no support from his fellow officers, he can only hope his subordinates continue to support him. Imagine serving and having all but one of your peers think you aren't qualified for a job... that's the situation of John Kerry today. Wow! http://www.scaryjohnkerry.com/vietnam.htm

From Snopes.com

Although the men quoted above are often identified as "John Kerry's shipmates," only one of them, Steven Gardner, actually served under Lt. Kerry's command on a Swift boat. The other men who served under Kerry's command continue to speak positively of him.

I don't get why anyone tries to diminish Kerry's military record in this contest. Are you trying to say he didn't do much compared to Bush! LMAO

Let's see, Kerry volunteered for active duty. Bush somehow got into the Guard. BTW, I am old enough to know it was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get a slot in the Guard then.

Kerry went for officer training school. Bush got put ahead of other more qualified candidates for flight school.

Kerry volunteered for Vietnam. Bush did not.

Kerry volunteered for swift boat duty. Bush volunteered for.....Alabama. He did see a dentist there, but no one else saw him.

Kerry saved the life of Jim Rassmun under enemy fire, he took the boat back to get Jim, & pulled him back into the boat, despite an arm injury. Jim disagrees that this is insignificant. Bush missed his flight physical.

Kerry got a couple medals, let's see, bronze star, silver star, 3 purple hearts, 2 Presidential Unit Citations and a National Defense Medal. Bush got "not rated", because no one had seen him around.

Kerry also served in the reserves. Bush took his last flight physical in May 1971, & never flew after that. He was released from duty Oct 1973, 8 months early. What did he do for his country from 1971 to 1973 if he wasn't flying? Why was he released 8 months early during war? So Kerry extended his service voluntarily, while Bush snuck out early, after not bothering to spend a few weekends flying around the blue skies of Texas.

Great post, but did you check out his source? I would not even bother to comment until he uses a credible source for his debate. Which of course he can't. :-)

I am not disagreeing with your source, I am disagreeing with who you posted to. That is why I said until he comes up with a better source which he can't. Re-read and you will see that in no way I am attacking you. Sorry for any confusion!
