This poor woman is dead now. Gasp, do we have another Vince Foster scenario on our hands? Maybe we can get Moveon to make this ad and go all over tv with this story.

"A Fort Bend County woman files a lawsuit on former Governor and current sitting President George W. Bush.

Margie Schoedinger of Missouri City, Texas has filed a lawsuit against George W. Bush in Fort Bend County Court. In her suit she is alleging "race based harassment and individual sex crimes committed against her and her husband." The suit lists numerous offenses and asks for actual damages, punitive damages and judgments against George W. Bush."

True I guess, but Kerry did not have to come out and say that the ads put out by moveon.org were unclassy and over the top, but he did and up to this point Kerry has mostly stuck to promoting his own cause where Bush has sunk into attacking Kerry instead of promoting himself. There is a clear difference there.

Lani,

Do you have any blanket statement by Kerry denouncing the ads by moveon? My understanding was Kerry only expressed concern about comparing Bush to Hitler.

I do not believe Kerry has denounced much of the 3rd party ads running naming Bush all sorts of nasty things, which it turns out are untrue... somehow now the swiftvets who may be telling the truth should be denounced by Bush? Shouldn't we examine the Kerry record to see what is true and false... his story seems to be changing day to day now. Fundamental facts have been changed... even who was President has changed...

Quite right, he did not have to come out and say it, and Kudos to Kerry for it.

Actually I tend to agree with most of what you said. However, most parents do not have the ability to police their children every moment of every day, i.e. when they are on the internet etc. And when violence and sex are blatantly marketed to children, I think there is room for complaint. Personally however I believe that I am capable of raising my own children adn screening what they view or discussing things they view that i would rather they hadn't. My only point was that I don't think there are many conservatives who object to the concept of R rated movies per se, since they are ostensibly only for adult viewing (or viewing with parents' supervision), therefore I don't think it's hypocritical for Bush to have been involved in producing some.

I think Kerry said that the ads were tasteless and I know he said that they were over the top.

Additionally, it also MAY be true that Bush is like Hitler (except for the fact that Hitler was a great orator) but it probably is not. Just like the swift boat claims are probably not true. It is a matter of Kerry trying to maintain an election based on issues instead of electing the person with the shadiest past.

I am sure if Kerry wanted to, he could contact Georgy Porgy's old coke dealer. How many nice and cordial things do you think his coke dealer would have to say about good ol' boy George?

"I agree with Senator McCain that the ad is inappropriate. This should be a campaign of issues, not insults."

Thanks, I knew there was a quote about issues and insults somewhere but I could not find it.

I was referring to the fact that every time Kerry makes a public appearance, he makes not of his service in VietNam, but he is not making it an issue in his campaign.....yeah, right.

If his service were not an issue, he wouldnt be bringing it up so often.
