Kerry's in big trouble now... the latest swiftvet ad (ad number 2) is if anything more devastating against Kerry than the first...

Check it out at http://a1281.v125028.c12502.g.vm.akamaistream.net/7/1281/12502/v0001/eaglepub.download.akamai.com/12502/sellout.wmv

Being proud of your military service is one thing.

Distorting facts about ones service to make oneself look better is another, and Kerry looks like he may have done some of this (ie Cambodia, etc)

"By the way, investigations into the Winter Soldier Investigation showed that at least 50 of the 150 people Kerry claimed that testified were found not to have served in VietNam at all."

This is a sampling of why this has become sucha huge issue, in my mind anyway. Kerry has held out his service as a reason for hiring him to be our President. He brought out his band of brothers as a sampling of the support for him from military personnel that serviced in Vietnam. Now we keep hearing stories change, and many embelishments from the original reports of service. And any dispute of Kerry's facts are called smear. Isn't it our responsibility to question what is what here and not just take anyone's word for it?

People are concerned that the present White House manipulated reports in order to go to war against Iraq. Here we have another candadite for the White House that has clearly manipulated fact to serve his own agenda....shouldn't we be concerned about that?

If it doesnot change your statement, I don't care.. It does show and everyone can follow that my intent is not to insult anyone. Now I know how Kerry must feel with all the slime thrown at him. Along with physical handicap in many cases there is nerve or brain damage and my point was just to say that they are in bad shape. Why are you attacking me or my intention is beyond me. Insulting anyone was not the point of my post. I hope you can see that now.

For the last time, if you read my post carefully and try to see the meaning behind it, I am not insulting anyone. As far as the war is concerned, some tropps are supporting Bush and some are against it. Even on this board we have military family members who have posted for and against the war. So you cannot tell all the vets support the war and my original post is still valid.

And you got this statement from the FREE REPUBLIC?

Thanks for the "editorialized" version.

Here's a more reputable version without the opinions of anyone:

Do you have knowledge to the contrary, if so would you mind sharing it with me?

Many Vet's I know support the Troops but not the President. Many Vet's and current members of the military look upon GW Bush with disdain.

What is insulting to the troops is they come home injured and get stashed away with inadequate medical care. What is insulting to the Vet's is that Bush has cut their benefits and seeks to cut more.

John Kerry's Winter Soldier testimony helped to end the Vietnam War. Were it not for his testimony and the testimony of others in that investigation, many more of our soldiers would have been killed in Vietnam.

You feel it is wrong to speak up against atrocities committed by our own soldiers in war? Where is your conscience? Look at Abu Ghraib!!! It happens. Our soldiers are not infallible. No one is infallible.

Would you prefer to turn a blind eye to the ugliness of war? Because that is what you are doing.

It took a great deal of courage for John Kerry and others to testify at the Winter Soldiers hearings. Just like it took a great deal of courage for those who exposed Abu Ghraib to come forward.

That type of courage is something GW Bush does not possess.
